Transfers 2015/16

Matthew Tait, greatest missed talent since I don't know when. Loved watching him play. I hope the pay cheque is big, he deserves it.

Any news source to the Tait thing?

I said on the previous page that the staff have confirmed his signing in a public meeting, but they didn't announce his lenght and wage. Therefore, Salvi is too expensive for Bayonne.

Just read this too. Potentially a better result than the older Jane or JPP

Hmmm I'm not so sure. While he's technically an All Black I don't think he'd actually be anywhere near the squad now. It will be telling to see how he goes this season after he tanked a bit last year.

Edit: Just read the article, what an incredible piece of writing. He was the top try scorer in Super Rugby in 2013, not 'last year', where he only notched up 3 tries. I don't think he's 'widely regarded as one of the most potent finishers in the southern hemisphere' either.

Welcome to British rugby journalism Mr Fish...

Big loss for the Blues, gain for 'Roaches. What is interesting to me is both who replaces him at the Blues and whether Wasps will have to sell a decent back to make room on the team sheet/bank balance for him?

They will have offered decent money to Varndell, so that'll have gone on him.

Frank Halai is a loss - but I think mainly because I'd really hoped he would be apart of the NZ Olympic team in 2016 (as I'd probably rate him as out best 7's player along with Mikkelson). As a XV's player he's not bad by any means, but I'd be shocked if he was on the radar for the ABs again, and we have better options for the wing with Gear coming back. I'd even rate George Moala as a more dangerous winger for the Blues (although with his assault conviction who knows what he'll be eligible for...).

Bristol have confirmed the signing of Marc Jones from Sale, very good signing for them as he gives 100% every week and never backs down.

They almost doubled our offer after her initially turned them down - not much you can say to that, really.
Don't begrudge him the payday, and playing moseley and jersey will be less taxing on his body than Saints and Clermont, so it's easy moolah.
