Transfers 2015/16

Poor Hurricanes are going to be depleted for the 2016 season. Seems they will have lost Ben Franks, Jeremy Thrush, Ma'a Nonu, Ray Lee-Lo - and very possibly guys like Cory Jane, Conrad Smith and Victor Vito may decide to take the money with the RWC and Lions tours probably out of reach

Scott Wilson,
Not as good in the loose but arguably better in the scrum, despite being younger

Hope he's a decent replacement - I'm enjoying watching Newcastle develop as a team, I've appreciated them a lot more ever since Rob Andrew left.

Have no doubt that Saints will get the most out of the guy seeing as they've done extremely well in prop development for everyone not named PDJ.

Tindall not too impressed with it on twitter - thinks it'll further block Stooke's development.

BBC Teletext confirm Smith leaving Irish to return home for family reasons.

I think it depends on what happens with Galarza.

My prediction is that Galarza will be leaving to take up a position at the new Argentina franchise. I think he's young enough to want to carry on his Argentina career. Also, I think it makes pragmatic sense because Afoa and Thrush are our "foreign" marquee players and Galarza will only get on the field when Thrush comes off. He won't get many starts ahead of Thrush, and he'll be too risky to have even on the bench, since he will only be able to replace Thrush, not the other lock.

If Galarza leaves and Thrush comes in, I think it's an alright result for Stooke. Palmer may or may not be here next year, but will probably at least play less game time. So I don't think Stooke will get any fewer chances. The season after that, Stooke will move even further ahead, as Palmer will have probably retired by then and I presume Hudson will be gone by then too.

Fabien Barcella to FCG next year. Hope he'll get back to the level he had when playing for Biarritz few years ago, he could be very important to us as we suffer a lot in scrumms this year !

Matthew Tait signing confirmed by président Merin at Peña Baiona hlf-season meeting between supporters & staff, feeling relieved that Spedding will be awesomely replaced.

Really disappointed as he has been brilliant when fit

a player who has excelled at tigers esp as most questioned it.

Should have been given more England caps.

Any news on Salvi to bayonne?
