The Movie Thread

Warcraft.

I really enjoyed it. Not a 10/10 this-eras-LOTR or anything, but a solid enough fantasy film.

I thought so too... knew exactly what it was, and didn't try to overstretch or indulge in too much tongue-in cheek.

Right balance of seriousness and it's-a-film-about-Warcraft-ness.

I hope it spurns some more Warcraft games. Really want a single player skyrim type Warcraft game.

Anyone tired and recommend the total war Warcraft game, I've not tried it after the terrible Rome 2 one.

Warcraft was fun. Highly enjoyable film. Very decent entry into the game-film adaption.

Any of you watched the Girl on the Train yet??

Pretty good thriller I thought... Had very much the same vibe as Gone Girl...

Just got around to watching The Revenant. Very good film, even though it's 2.5 hours, it is pretty pacey.

Not a film to feel happy through, but certainly gain an experience.

Watched The Girl on the Train on Saturday. Good movie, but not great. 6/10
Emily Blunt was terrific though. Oscar worthy performance.

Ahh Warhammer those where the days.

Although being crap at painting wasn't the best for it, it did though improve my art work more than the actual art classes at school.

Yeah same vibe as Gone Girl but nowhere near as good in terms of plot. Had a long discussion with my wife afterwards and we just felt the beginning was too long and the end was too long. And the actual 'reveal' wasn't that thrilling and exciting.

Guess it's the difference between the consistently brilliant David Fincher and Tate Tylor who's done one good film so far.

Also watched "Eddie the Eagle" it's brilliant possibly one of the best sports movies ever made, even if most of it is horlicks.

I won some competitions and made some serious cashish (for a 10 year old) from being good at painting.

Yeh I got a lot better with the Lord of the rings version when it came out, all sort of died down by the time I turned 13 for me though.

Was quite fun but I think I was prob the only one in my class that enjoyed it so kept it to myself generally.

If I was richer and had more time on my hands I'd still do it tbh.

It's what I plan to do in my retirement. (lel.... I won't be able to retire :()
