First time you'd seen the rocky horror picture show?

I hope you didn't watch a film with a ***le like 'lesbian vampire killers' thinking it might be amazingly good XD[/b]
Yeh, first time. I instantly love Tim 'Frank-n-Furter' Curry. :D

And I didn't expect LVK to be good; just not THAT bad.

I watched 'Two Lovers' on the plane from Sao Paulo to LDN pretty much this time last week.

Joaquin Phoenix is a depressed but likeable Jewish guy who lives in a shitty apartment with his parents. He's pushed by his parents into a relationship with a family friend's Jewish daughter, but he falls for Gwyneth Paltrow who's an unstable girl living in the same block. Basically, it's a big drama about his relationship with the 2 women, his family and also owes a lot to being set in New York. I've never been there, but the way it's filmed gives a really good image of the actual city (no cheesy central park/ empire state scenes), and the physical setting plays an important role in the film.

Great film. A love story that's not too cheesy or depressing. 9/10.

First time I ever saw it I was slightly drunk and it was Christmas. Now THAT's a way to experience the film XD Golden Boy never ceased to annoy me for some reason.

Nice post Gingergenius, well structured, informative, overall pretty good. It would be nice if more people would elaborate the way you did XD

Just saw Bruno today. More of an extended, much ruder version of the TV show than a film, but it had me laughing very hard throughout. In the Jackass mould of movies - as in no discernable plot - but absolutely f***ing hilarious. DON'T BRING YOUR MUM.

. It was so disappointing. Now i know people who dont <3 Harry Potter like i do won't give a flying **** what the harry potter film was like, but i'll just tell you anyway. Watch it, like i know you all will, but dont expect to be impressed.

I saw a trailer for it, seemed to focus a lot on teenage love (basically the part that annoyed me in the sixth book) so I wasn't planning on watching it in the cinema.

Plus, I'm taking a break from going to the movies for a few months, I'll only be seeing films at home for a while XD

harry Potter. Some of the romance stuff was some of the best romcom I've ever seen. Thought it was hillariouis. Probably my preferred Harry Potter movies.

But I see where Ali12 is coming from. I suppose I was able to get over what made him dislike it so much becase since the first Harry Potter film I'vce tried to go in and watch it as if its not Harry Potter because I know otherwise it's gonna be rubbish and I'll get ****** off at important parts of the plot that get cut.

I was really annoyed they didn't show all of the memories because thwy were the coolest part of the book...:(

It wasn't that bad. Probably the best movie so far. The humour was better than a lot of the cheesy stuff in recent cinema, and the effects were great, as usual; the cinematography was beautiful.

I despise Daniel Radcliffe though. The guy seems unable to convey any emotional response...

How loyal it remained to the book, I don't know, because I've forgotten loads from the novel, however I was disappointed they left out the 'final fight' scene involving the professors and such, which was easily my favourite scene in any of the novels.

On a final note, Helena Bonham Carter is amazing, if a little loopy.

Yeah, she ain't bad looooking for a 43 year old....I'd go there. But mostly coz she's famous.

Anywho. Last night I saw Redemption: The Story of Stan 'Tookie' Williams staring Jamie Foxx as Stan Williams and Some Woman as the woman.

"minor spoilers*

Plot basically goes: Woman writing book on Crips (huge violent gang in the USA) and she wants to interview one of the founders (Stan Williams) in prison who's death row. She goes in there and finds this guy who's gone all philosophical and anti violence in his last 6 or so (out of about 20) years in prison.

*spoilers end*

Based on a true storyish but they ruin the credability of it by making Williams too perfect and as per usual they glorify him and nothing all that exciting ever happens. A bit like a lesser version of American History X.

6.7/10 for me.

Yeah watched Harry Potter this morning and thought it was good nothing spectacular. I'm not really a big fan but for some reason I was wanting to watch this one. It maybe a disappointment to some but I think it'll be enjoyable for the kids to watch.

Alot of the story is about teenage love because you see every sussing eachother out like they're gonna pounce or something.

Highlight to see spoiler ------>**SPOILER**Story is Harry Potter's still a pussy who can just wave his wand and make sparks come out he doesn't learn anything new except for one spell that he uses to kill melfoy or whatever the hell his name is but he's brought back to life so wtf.

Overall an alright effort but gees they better hurry with the last 2 because by the time they put them out 4 eyes and peasant are gonna have pubes and look like Sebastian Chabal.

Harry Potter: Thought it was great

Gran Torino: Awesome!!!!

Notorious: Better than i expected

Haunting in Connecticut: ****

The Devils Rejects: Crap

I just watched Jerusalema. It's a South African crime movie about Hillbrow in Johannesburg, and how buildings were taken over by criminals because "it was their rightful inheritance..."

A pretty good movie, and scary in the sense that that's really what happens in downtown Johannesburg. Every time i look at, or drive through or past the city, it's like it's screaming to be saved from what is happening. Johanesburg was the greatest city on Earth, and now, it's dying, and will pretty soon be destroyed thanks to it's own people not understanding the world. It makes me so sad. I urge everyone to watch this movie. Watch the final shot of this trailer, you can feel the city cry for help. :(

The Princess Bride
Dirty Dancing
Clueless

We had a Girls' night yesterday, I swear if I ever give up men I'll start a love affair with Ben & Jerry.

Just watched 'the Assasaination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford' (again), and I have to say that everytime I see it I love it a bit more. At this stage it's one of my favourite films.

The cinematography is absolutely brilliant, the story though very slow (2hrs and 40mins feels that long so don't watch it if you have concentration problems).

Brad Pitt who I've never been a huge fan of is absolutely engaging and Casey Affleck as Robert Ford is such a strange character but the performance is also fantastic.

It asks alot of questions of the characters that perhaps you won't notice on first viewing (especially if you're a bit tired) but I think it's a truely fantastic film.

Watched Terminator 4 didn't really think much of it and I don't think Batman or whatever his name is was right for the part it should of been someone else just not him. Same old stuff thou robots come along humans fight against them and guess who wins? yep the goodies just like every other movie out there when the hell are the baddies gonna win for once.
