The Movie Thread

Star Trek. Great movie. The actors did a fantastic job, and the characters were interesting in their own little way. Plus, the special effects were awesome. 9/10, one of my favourite sci-fi movies.

Watched same film over the weekend, thoroughly enjoyed it, I did get the idea there were many jokes non-trekkies (like myself) weren't getting, which is pretty good I think, gives the trekkies that little extra :p

Saw both Memento and the majority of Saving Private Ryan last night.

Both amazing films, though Memento was better for me. Outstanding movie in every aspect.

Last House on the Left. Woah, what a hectic movie. Seriously disturbing, but very enjoyable.

 , pretty disturbing plot but it has to be the most ridiculous movie I've ever seen. The music's so cheesy and the acting is so campy. I particularly lol'd at the "**** your pants" scene. And how stupid are the cops man? f***ing retards.

Oh you mean right at the beginning? Yeah. It was a little low budget, but it was pretty creepy too. That rape scene was really hectic. Loads of people left the theatre at that scene. Also, i quite enjoyed the music. But the movie only really gets going after the halfway mark. But still though, i enjoyed it quite a bit. :)

f***, my bad. I take it you're talking about the new remake? I haven't seen it, I saw the original which was done in the 70's. I recommend it for pure comical reasons.

Public Enemies.
Memento aside, not a movie this year has wow'ed me more. Screw trash like Transformers and Terminator, this was simply amazing.

Bringing my three year old daughter to see Ice Age 3D (3D baby) tomorrow :) Her first trip to the cinema and it'll be 3D. Should be funny.

Are you sure you want her to creep out over 3D Dinosaurs? Hope she doesn't get scared and you'll both have fun :)

First film I ever watched on the big screen was The Little Mermaid. Ursula scared the living bejeezes out of me that day. She still does :s

Lesbian Vampire Killers - worst movie ever.

Step Brothers - slightly less awful.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show - amazing.

First time you'd seen the rocky horror picture show?

what about aaaaammm, Stardust Memories ????

Watched Slumdog Millionaire last night. Fine film, would rate it about 8.5/10. Was pure oscar bait though. Take another culture (a PC must nowadays), some hardship in a third world setting (pc must), add a series of jumbled threads which answer the questions, show a message which speaks of not judging people (via a class structure in this film), throw in a love story and a triumph against all odds. No wonder it won best picture, danny boyle baited the hook very, very well.
