Launch complete ACL rupture so he'll defo not be going. Hope he comes back ok
I would imagine so. He's been called-up before and with the injury to Launchbury, I would expect to see him picked. Is Ribbands likely to be involved? He seems to be consistently excellent.
That was my thoughts also. Especially if some of the young contenders, actually start fulfilling their potential...and the likes of Ribbands make a good shout.Reading Launch could be out for 6 - 9 months and then it will inevitably take him a while to get back to top form (if he can). Given he's just turned 30 there's a real risk this could be the end of his international career. I really hope it isn't.
Yep, playing well and he looks like the next cab off the rank at the moment. That was my thoughts also. Especially if some of the young contenders, actually start fulfilling their potential...and the likes of Ribbands make a good shout.
Still wish we had managed to get Rowlands. He's our version of Geoff Parling.... who i've just seen in the Aussie's forward coach!Yep, playing well and he looks like the next cab off the rank at the moment.
Listed as 2.02 which is well above Launch and Itoje and a smidge taller than Lawes and Isiekwe. Weight varies but shown as 121 kg on Saints website which would be solid enough.
Bit of a nothing story, for me - his role as a consultant has been known for a long time, they're just trying to play up as if he's personally coaching BB to beat England (what exactly is he going to coach him? How to kick away the ball on a 4 on 1?)
Biggest surprise, for me, is he's actually made it into Japan - know plenty of people who can't get in or out atm
A busy boy. He's also got a book called 'Leadership' coming out in Nov.......about which the Sunday Times snarkily started an item with "From the man who coached England to 5th place in the 6 Nations......".Anyone seen the stories of Jones currently coaching Japan and not being focussed on England?
Eddie Jones' commitment to England role is called into question
New Zealand's World Cup-winning playmaker Beauden Barrett has revealed details of how Jones has been helping to improve his game in Tokyo - during a current visit and also back in January.www.dailymail.co.uk
Wouldnt be surprised as Jones comes accords arrogant enough to think he can do two jobs at once.
I think Jones not paying enough attention is complete trash, he lives and breathes for rugby. He has an advisory capacity with a japanese side, but given he's also not in camp all the time its hardly that big a dealAnyone seen the stories of Jones currently coaching Japan and not being focussed on England?

And being the hypocrites they are, if he does win a GS or even the next world cup, they'll say how they knew all along he would and how supportive they've been and completely ignore all their own negative press coverage.Timeline is odd too the article mentioned he was in Japan in January, that can't be right can it?
He does have a Japanese passport and isn't his wife Japanese? Also sportsman and entertainers seem to get in even with counties with strict rules. My sister works in Korea and had to work in Tokyo for a week but had to quarantine first so maybe he got via a different country.
It is a nothing story but the English press all want him gone all are in full attack mode. This won't stop till he either is sacked or wins a Grand Slam.
Unfortunately this argument always falls down. And being the hypocrites they are, if he does win a GS or even the next world cup, they'll say how they knew all along he would and how supportive they've been and completely ignore all their own negative press coverage.
