Scotland v France

Oh god...what was Parks thinking?! I know, I'll try and kick it out!!! That'll surely work!

Parks is excellent from the beginning

I love the Scotish reaction whisling the referee who refuses the quick game...But bad day for Elissalde

The ball's out of the ruck half the time and the Scot's aren't having any of it for some reason. Ellisalde knows it too, he just stands there with his foot on the ball.

The 3 stooges up in the French coaching area are all looking very suave with their matching tutrtlenecks and over coats :D

Sad that the ref didn't allow us to play this penality quickly, it was another amazing try by Nallet...

And whats happening to Elissalde ? A tribute to Michalak ?

Absoloute shite, the worst defense i have seen in years. Paper thin. Parks to the slaughter, easy missed penalty and gave France their second try. Although to be fair France have played very well.

Also what is it with France and getting away with 3 yard forward passes :D

Elissalde better not miss that in future games. I think he will be okay for this game (I hope).

Scotland need to stop playing Harlem Globetrotter rugby, they've got to realise that sometimes it's not the best course of action to keep momentum going, but to go to ground.
Rory Lamont ruined what could have been a try scoring oppertunity, it wasn't a totally wrong choice, it was just more risky and unfortunatley it didn't pay off.
Andy Henderson was well within his rights to nut Traille, he punched him all of two seconds earlier, I hope Traille gets cited for that, or at least cautioned in some way.
Good play by the French, they gell together as a team really well.
Scotland need to have more balls when they have the balls, stop choking the minute they get any sort of momentum going. There gameplay is really good, more work needs to be done on the mental side of the game. If we didn't make as many mistakes, we'd be so much better.

Well I could have predicted all of this pretty easily before the game started:

- Scotland will look good but not score many points
- France will look like scoring whenever they get into the 22 and will probably score on the break
- Dan Parks will miss in front of the posts
- Everyone will say how much possession/territory Scotland had and how well they played and then realise they lost by 30 points...

It's depressing how accurate this is. :(

It was great to see us destroy a French scrum, I can't remember the last time I saw that happen.

edit: oh man is De Luca channeling the spirit of Di Rollo

What?

Traille throwing a punch is wrong, obviously, but that doesn't give anyone the right to retaliate with a headbutt. A cheap bodyshot off the ball is not justification enough for something, which had he put more power into it, could potentially have ended with a broken nose.

There's no excuse for butting, especially not in this case.

elissalde must have smoked a few joints before the match, he is playing it sooo coool

Pure one eyed there, are you Andy Nichol in disguise?

He's not kicking all that cooly, only two out of four kicks successful.

well apparently you won't see that anymore. we just ran over the scottish scrum

Wow, France look so smooth. I think it really bodes well for us looking toward the rest of the tournament.

Lamont getting injured for Scotland, looks like a leg injury, could it get worse for them?

I'm only just realising how good Clerc is, and yeah... he is REALLY good. Works great with Heymans at the back on the counter kick, the two feed off each other brilliantly and always seem to be the pair to get France on an attacking break.
