RWC: Wales - Namibia (26-09-2011, 19:30)

3 tries against England in Twickenham this year as well.

Hoping we can put 60+ points on them and improve our points difference. I've got Scott Williams down as first scorer. Anybody else fancy a stab?

I would have picked Scott as well but I might so for Halfpenny or Byrne.

What I would give for Byrne to have a blinder. Just what we need, 2008-era Lee Byrne.

Hoping we can score 60+ too, we've got a strong enough pack out to get the platform and a talented set of backs to boot. Hoping for a hat-trick from Halfpenny because I've put faith on him and stuck him in my fantasy team :p also expecting George North to outrun (or run through) some tired Namibian defenders if/when he comes on.

Don't think that Wales have the firing power to put 60+ on Namibia even though they were trounced 3 days ago (Thurs) by South Africa. Wales dominated possession and play vs. the Springboks and they still only managed to score 1 (arguable) try.

Especially now that Williams and Hook are out..... I hope to be proven wrong coz my money is on Wales.

Halfpenny and Brew are in though, both good finishers.

Think it was the SA defence rather than the Welsh attack that kept them out

Plus I think SA's defence is a completely different kettle of fish to Namibias...

I am curious to see the battle at the breakdown though... Can Wales manage to beat the Namibians who are very physical?

I think Wales will put a 35-40 point difference on Namibia but don't be surprised if it gets a little tighter!

Beat the South Africans and Samoans at the breakdown. I wish we had Lydiate for this match, very underrated, hardworking player.

Well guess we'll see in a few hours! Kinda hard to predict these games though, last time we played a team that was a traditional 'minnow' was probably 4 years ago in the last WC when we beat Japan something like 76 - 18 in Cardiff, but this Welsh team is far better than the 07 one if you ask me, and this Namibian team is probably worse than that Japanese one too.

Just before I go to work, I thought I'd have a little moan.

Tavis Knoyle isn't playing particularly well as he is taking a long time to decide where to pass, allowing Namibias defence to line up.

Definitely a bonus point win to come but an awful, awful game to watch.

I hope for the same team that played against SA against Fiji.

I think Walsh is forgetting some of the rules... like actually binding in the scrum...or rolling away...

As expected, making hard work of this game. Lots of unforced errors ruining the pace of the game for us. Getting very frustrated at jon davies' lack of ability to actually pass!!! Would hav been nice to get that 4th try prior to half time

Yeah both teams havn't looked as accurate as they have in previous matches and Walsh isn't helping. For Namibia, they need to get their handling sorted and get more accuracy on their kicking; if they have any aim to their kicking other than relieving pressure for a split second that is and try to play in the Welsh half and put some pressure on them. That's simply damage control mind you. Wales were always gonna run away with this one and the only question is by how much; simply need keep their structure and go at the Namibians with ball in hand.

There is something there for Namibia though. If they can get more players into a comp like the Vodacom cup or Currie cup or the premiership like Burger though I think the former is a more likely scenario they could develop into a top 16 team if they could get a few international matches on a reasonable basis.

Ok, think I've posted this before, but has accidental offside been phased out completely? Seen loads that would have been accidental offside given as crossing.

Also, bloody Brew! Keep hold of the damn ball!

Ah always a risk when you chuck the ball around like Wales were, but, if Wales were crossing earlier, why wasn't that? Supporting player ran straight in front of him?
