Who's up for an upset!:D

Not me.

Need some changes, more muscle in the pack. Hoping to see this:

1. Cross/ Jacobsen
2. Ford/ Hall
3. Murray
4. Hines/ Hamilton
5. Gray Hamilton
6. Brown/ Stroker
7. Rennie
8. Vernon
9. Cusiter/ Lawson
10. Jackson
11. Danielli
12. Lamont S
13. Ansbro
14. Evans
15. Lamont R

16. Hall/ Ford
17. Low
18. Hamilton/ Gray
19. Stroker/ Barclay
20. Lawson/ Cusiter
21. Paterson
22. Morrison

Think we might opt for an entire front 3 on the bench though, if that's the case then start Paterson and Morrison, with one of the Lamonts on the bench.

We will have to try really hard to be as anymynous in the tight as we were against Romania, come on Robinson, now is the time you earn your keep.

Should Georgia pick Kubriashvili or Zirakashvili at tighthead?

that's a good decision to have to make!

My Georgia XV

1. Davit Khinchagashvili
2.
Akvesnti Giorgadze
3.
Davit Kubriashvili
4.
Levan Datunashvili
5.
Vakhtang Maissuradze
6. Shalva Sutiashvili
7. George Chkhaidze
8. Mamuka Gorgodze
9. Irakli Abusseridze
10. Merab Kvirikashvili
11. Lexo Gugava
12. Tedo Zibzibadze
13. Davit Kacharava
14. Irakli Machkhaneli
15. Malkhaz Urjukashvili

maybe Bregvadze for Giorgadze but I trust Giorgadze more to give a solid start in the set pieces, I would consider Viktor Kolelishvili for Sutiashvili and Lasha Malaguradze at inside centre where he has been playing for Béziers alongside Mehrtens but now is not time for experimenting

Nick de Luca + Graeme Morrison as a centre combination is good news for Georgia's defense, combine their lack of creativity with Dan Parks at 10 and they'll struggle to score tries

good front five though (with the exception of penalty machine Scott Lawson), Dickinson vs Kubriashvili/Zirakashvili would have been the equivalent of Tony Buckley against Tonga'uiha

no ball carriers in the back row is also good news for Georgia, Strokosch is the Scottish Joe Worsley, simply an awesome tackler, Rennie a proper openside and rarely carries, Kelly Brown however is capable of doing some good runs

I'll take solace in the fact that if we don't make it out of the group because of Dan Parks, it means he will have one less game in which to play for Scotland. Cnut

Argh, if Dickinson comes on we will be going backwards faster than a French battle tank, really need some decent front-row options to develop. Mon Ryan Jones.

Otherwise, well I dinnae know, I know fatigue in all, but surely Ansbro would be okay? It's not like backs do a strenuous amount of work anyway, at least not compared to forwards.

Are you Georgian ??
only thing i would change is Zirakishvili instead of kubri... 99% sure Zirakishvili will be the starter he is like a hero in Georgia Im also sure Kubriashvili will get to play in almost every game(but as a sub)
also khinchagashvili and shvelidze 50/50%

12. Tedo zibzibadze is doubtful :( injured during training, I hope he will play. The team really needs him and we cant afford to lose backs

Hey Psyduck,
Who's your tip as tryscorer for Georgia? I don't know the backs and am tempted to pick Gorgodze (because he's one of the very few I know and I do know he's a ****ing beast).

I know there are lot's of people talking about how they could see an upset here, with the way Scotland played against Romania. And I don't doubt that Georgia will be smelling blood slightly... However, I feel that some of the Scotland players went into the Romania game believing their own hype. No doubt Robinson will be knocking a few heads together, and those 11 players that will be starting the Georgia game ahead of those who played against Romania will sense their chance to claim a starting spot against Argentina. I'm not saying it'll be the greatest Scotland performance of all time, though I don't see any upset with this one....

Famous last words....

Hey Psyduck,
Who's your tip as tryscorer for Georgia? I don't know the backs and am tempted to pick Gorgodze (because he's one of the very few I know and I do know he's a ****ing beast).

Gorgodze is actually Georgia's all time leading try scorer, with 18 from 37 matches, and has scored 9 tries from his 11 post RWC 2007 matches, he will be very strong favourite

but most people will probably opt for him so for better odds I would go for Davit Zirakashvili the prop, although unlikely to play a whole match due to the strength of the props on the bench, he is quite good at managing to be on the end of mauls and five metre bomf tries.

I doubt the backs will get that much attacking ball if Georgia get into the 22, but from the backs Irakli Machkhaneli is a player who often pops up and gets a try, David Kacharava was the leading try scorer during the 6 Nations B, although all his tries were against Ukraine, Spain and Portugal.

My guide to the Georgia match 22

1. David Khinchagishvili
- Brive's first choice loosehead after joining them from Bourgoin in 2007, he's 29 but is now in his ninth season of Top 14 rugby, good in defense and of course a good scrummager.

2. Jaba Bregvadze
- one of the few players that still play in Georgia, not the hooker/prop type of player that Georgia normally produce like Shvelidze and Giorgadze, he is a specialist hooker, quite lightweight for a hooker weighing just 90kg, became the first choice hooker at the end of 6 Nations B, playing in the wins against Russia and Romania.

3. Davit Zirakashvili
- quality scrummager, but also good with ball in hand and often sneaks in a try here and there from short range, he was named in the Top 14 dream team for 2007/08, he is now in his eighth season with Clermont and is also the first choice tighthead.

4. Levan Datunashvili
- plays in ProD2 with Aurillac, has been Georgia's first choice lock recently and started every match of the 10/11 international season apart from the Nations Cup.

5. Vakhtang Maisuradze
- the fourth and youngest Maisuradze brother to play for Georgia, Ilia played at RWC 07, Simon and Zviad have played recently but Vakhtang is the only one to have made the squad, he plays for Féderale 1 side La Seyne which is a team where a lot of Toulon's academy rejects play.

6. Shalva Sutiashvili
- Georgia's versatility forward, played lock in the wins against Canada and USA in November but more recently has been swapping between 6 and 7, plays for Massy in Féderale 1.

7. Mamuka Gorgodze
- Georgia best ever player, and is on a wave of form, brutal performances for Montpellier helped them to the Top 14 final and was named the Top 14's best foreign player as well as making this season's dream team, and this summer was the first rugby player to be given the honour knight of sport, the Lelos all time leading try scorer, played his early career and RWC 07 at lock but has transformed into a monster back rower, he must NOT get into any trouble throughout the tournament, which he has a reputation for doing.

8. Dimitri Basilaia
- a surpise inclusion over Montpellier's Ckhaidze, who I would have expected to start, another massive 190+cm back rower, a Féderale 1 player who plays with Valence d'Agen.

9. Irakli Abuseridze
- captain and Georgia's most capped ever player with 72 caps after making his debut back in 2000, plays well down in the French leagues with Féderale 3 side Auxerre.

10. Merab Kvirikashvili
- the goal kicker and probably best back, played back in RWC 2003, currently plays for Saint-Junien in Féderale 1, left footed he was key to the win over the USA in November slotting some very difficult penalties, also a Georgian international at Rugby League and Sevens.

11. Sandro Todua
- along with Bregvadze the only Georgian based player in the starting XV, a bit of a surprise inclusion ahead of Gugava and Chkhikvadze both of whom have played for most of the season.

12. Tedo Zibzibadze
- a key player to the side, plays in ProD2 with Périgueux for whom he started every match during their promotion campaign last season, a big 6 foot 3 inch centre, Graeme Morrison won't find it easy to make many yardage here.

13. David Kacharava
- a much smaller centre than Zibzibadze, was on good try scoring form during the Six Nations B, notably was arrested and detained for three hours without charge as a terrorist suspect whilst entering disputed territory in Russia to play in the 6 Nations B in March, plays with Nice in Féderale 1.

14. Irakli Machkhaneli
â€" a really feisty winger, plays in a style similar to Mark Cueto, will give everything for the team and although maybe not the quickest over 100m he has a very good short burst which can get a few metres in attack. At club level he has had spells with Béziers, Mont-de-Marsan, Agen, Mâcon and is currently with Saint-Etienne in Féderale 1.

15. Revaz Gigauri
â€" a surprise inclusion ahead of Urjukashvili, particularly considering he’s played his entire career at centre, a bit of a risk that he could get shown out of position at full back, plays in Féderale 1 with Boulogne-Billancourt.

16. Akvsenti Giorgadze
â€" the oldest player in the squad, and is retiring after the World Cup, spent the last six seasons with Castres but didn’t play much last season due to injury.

17. David Kubriashvili
â€" only 24 yet is in his fifth season of Top 14 rugby, kept Toulon’s big money signing Carl Hayman firmly on the bench last season, he also became the first Georgian to play for the Barbarians where he destroyed Joe Marler in the scrum.

18. Giorgi Chkhaidze
â€" has spent the last four years playing for Racing-Métro and Montpellier but didn’t get much game time last season and is currently without a team, he has been first choice flanker for Georgia since 2007 and a big surprise that he has been left on the bench.

19. Viktor Kolelishvili
â€" a member of the Clermont academy (espoirs) but is yet to play a senior match.

20. Bidzina Samkharadze
â€" in my opinion probably at least as good as the captain, a feisty Pierre Mignoni type of scrum half.

21. Lasha Khmaladze
â€" young fly half, played in the Nations Cup but don’t know much about him, I would have had Malaguradze here.

22. Malkhaz Urjukashvili
â€" experienced full back/wing, came through the Toulouse academy and has played for numerous clubs in France, a decent goal kicker, would have expected him to start.

Georgia's starting XV has apparently been announced and it looks like Tedo is okay to go. I like the addition of Gigauri as he really impressed at Boulogne-Billancourt in Fédérale 2 (French second amateur division). He was a huge contributor to his club's surprise promotion last season.

15 Revaz Gigauri
14 Irakli Machkhaneli
13 David Kacharava
12 Tedo Zibzibadze
11 Alexander Todua
10 Merab Kvirikashvili
9 Irakli Abuseridze
8 Dimitri Basilaia
7 Mamuka Gorgodze
6 Shalva Sutiashvili
5 Vakhtang Maisuradze
4 Levan Datunashvili
3 David Zirakashvili
2 Jaba Bregvadze
1 David Khinchagishvili

The final 15 against Scotland announced:
1. Davit Khinchagishvili
2. Jaba Bregvadze
3. Davit Zirakishvili
4. Vakhtang Maisuradze
5. Levan Datunashvili
6. Shalva Sutiashvili
7. Mamuka Gorgodze
8. Dimitry Basilaia
9. Irakly Abuseridze
10. Merab Kvirikashvili
11. Sandro Todua
12. Tedo Zibzibadze
13. Davit Kacharava
14. Irakly Mackhaneli
15. Revaz Gigauri

Subs: 16. Akvsenti Giorgadze, (prop, Hooker)
17. Davit Kubriashvili. (prop)
18. Giorgi Chkhaidze (lock)
19. Viktor Kolelishvili(N8)
20. Bidzina Samkharadze (scrum half, universal back)
21. Lasha Khmaladze (fly half)
22. Malkhaz urjukashvili(fullback)

one or two surprise picks for starting 15 but i think i know why Dixon picked these players.

*Bold - for predictors most likely to score a try
*Italics - Most likely to play(subs)

if somebody thinks Scotland will have easy ride over Georgia...

Then you lie to yourself

Georgia tightheads benching Carl Hayman and Martin Scelzo in France.

And anyone arrested for suspicion of a terrorist attack when entering Russia would get my pick as tryscorer.

Yes he is a great player :D no wonder Russians didn't want him to play, I was going to pick him too but i went with Zirakishvili... Still think forwards will be the ones scoring
