RWC: Scotland - Georgia (14-09-2011, 19:30)

It seemed to me that both teams had no idea how to play against each other. Georgia pushed with it's forwards for a while and kicked while Scotland had short breaks in the 3 quarters line but getting isolated and loosing the ball...

the key statistic to the match was the penalties conceded, Georgia conceded 14 whilst Scotland just 6, Scotland didn't give Georgia 3 points most times they got in their half, Euan Murray and Jacobsen played well and I think if the props were Dickinson and Cross, you may have seen a different result, also Scotland's most hated Australian had a good match, and controlled the game well, and gave Scotland most territory

I think Scotland will beat Argentina now and qualify for the QF's

a positive for Georgia to take out of the match is the turnovers they enforced, 17 of them

although it's disappointing not to even have a losing bonus point, moving on Georgia must not get downhearted now, if a drop goal or two went over they were right back in it

unfortunately I don't expect a great performance against England, the focus should be on Romania now as Georgia must win at least one match, then I think the Lelos could challenge Argentina, but not after another four day turnaround

however still feels a disappointing result, and a missed opportunity

**** game **** teams all im gonna say. wasted my time watching that one!

Terrible game our tactics are trash. the worst part is now we have to wait another 4 years before getting another chance with 6N underdogs :p 4 years of wait and the opportunity wasted just great<_< don't even ask me to go into detail I just want to forget this game. Great performance from our players tho especially 12. Tedo zibzibadze hope he wasn't injured

I fell asleep when this match was 9-3.

Surprised it ended with a score as high as 15-6.

Markshaw and Tricia, thanks for your comments....

Such insight.

Scotland was better... deserved win. But Georgia gaining loosing BP would be most fair result out of this game.

I'm not so sure, Scotland well dominated the game, but if Georgia played like they did against England, either we would have lost or would have to have seriously upped our game on attack.

Thought the result was a fair reflection, was raining cats and dogs, our defence was great, our attack poorly executed and thought your scrummy made the wrong decisions at times, kicking the ball away in the oppositions half when you forwards are good carriers, especially in the tight. Parks missed several kicks at goal as well, which was in line with his field kicking.

Agree. We made several unforgettable mistakes that caused us loosing possession and ball. Yeah, Abuseridze was nothing near to the game he played against England. He made few utterly wrong decisions, and at the end we have lost our very good opportunity in line-out as well. (And line-outs seems to be huge problem for us on this RWC).
