Geoff Parling with his big foot treading on and hurting Tommy Bowe's hand by accident.
Ireland wing Simon Zebo has become the third player to be called up to the British and Irish Lions squad on tour in Australia.
Zebo, 23, has been summoned as cover with uncertainty over whether compatriot Tommy Bowe will be able to play any further part in the tour.
Bowe has undergone an operation to repair a broken bone in his hand sustained in Saturday's win over Queensland Reds in Brisbane.
Zebo will join the squad on Tuesday.
The Munster man, capped five times, will travel from the United States, where Ireland beat the hosts 15-12 in the first Test of their summer tour on Saturday.
The Lions said Bowe's condition will be assessed over the next days.
Another winger, Rob Kearney, is yet to play any part in the tour after suffering a torn hamstring but is expected to return to training this week.
Zebo, who can also play at full-back, was a strong contender for a place in the original Lions squad after a sparkling start to the Six Nations in Ireland's win over Wales.
But he broke a metatarsal in his right foot early in the second game of the Championship against England, and only returned to action in the final few games of the season.
Zebo joins England prop Alex Corbisiero and Scotland loose-head Ryan Grant in receiving a summons to supplement the original squad after injuries to Cian Healy and Gethin Jenkins.
Corbisiero and Grant will both be pitched straight into action as part of the match-day squad for Tuesday's game against a Combined Queensland-New South Wales Country XV in Newcastle.
I had an op for a broken bone in my hand last year and, after two weeks, I was told I could start physio....however, it was a month after before I would have been happy to lay rugby with it!!
He is much younger but.......................?!
It all depends on which bone is broken how the surgery goes, if all goes well he could be back soon as he'll be woking very hard with top physios and sports medical professionals which could speed up the recovery time.

bone takes 6 weeks to heal doesn't it? Doesn't matter which bone it is, it needs time to heal. I'm guessing though, he could be back sooner with some fancy protective kevlar/carbon thingymajig.
I'm not sure, early this season one of my team mates broke his hand without any surgery just a brace he was back playing in about 5 weeks.
man, this has been a ridiculously tough year + for Ireland.
Just thinking of things like two super ultra-early injuries to 2 excellent int'ls for the Lions for the latest, losing to England at home for the first time since 2003 (!) in the 6N, losing to Scotland this year when they dominated the whole way, losing to Italy for the first time ever, all this after being co-favorites for the tournament; their decimated squad this past November Tour, coming within 3pts of beating the AB but losing after all, and then taking a 60-0 defeat...
who would be called up in Sexton's place?
Madigan? Biggard? Flood?
I heard that he was out for two weeks and would get a couple of games at the end ... Or am I just confused?
No you're right he had surgery but by the sounds of it it should be two weeks until he's back.
In the meantime Zebo takes his place yeah? (Think so)
Yeah he can run to the gain line, if only he didn't start 20 meters behind it . Madigan has been overall more impressive, and adds a lot in terms of flair. and when I saw Flood (I actually watched a lot of Tigers games for some reason) he was good, and ran the show quite well. He mainly stands up as a kicking option, which with Halfpenny at 15 isn't that crucial. Haven't seen enough of Biggar to comment. You're right though, we may as well bring someone who can run hard, and attack the line. I don't think we have anyone who can float a pass like Sexton can though, and if we lose him we're ****ed.With Halfpenny around to take the kicks?
Paddy Jackson.
Outshone Sexton and Madigan in the Pro12 final recently and can run to the gain-line. OK, had a bit of a stinker against Saracens, but we were carrying way too many guys fresh from injuries into that game for it to be really representative.
