Premiership Rugby 22/23 - Rd 14

How can the TMO make a video call with a massively blurred picture? Surely the technology is on offer to provide better images than that.

Sam James showing what could have been for England.
His vision is exactly what England need.

PRL/BT really need to invest in better cameras for the TMO,

That was a knock on, but most angles it was really hard to tell from the stop-motion video we have to work from

In an ideal world, sure, but they're pretty rare - I mean look at the Boks with Frans Malherbe, they basically wheel him from scrum to scrum in a wheel barrow :p

I don't think we've got an all rounder whose open field play is strong enough to make up for their deficit in the tight vs Marler - Genge on a good day, but his scrummaging is inconsistent (and realistically he's in the 23 already anyway)
I do agree were short at the moment.....there's a few coming through so hopefully in the not too distant future we'll be good in the propping area again.

But I'd rather have Goodricke Clarke, West or Brocklebank (don't laugh, hes developed in to a VERY good LH) than Mako these days....

Baxter looks a prospect aswell.

Not watching the game but checked the score yet seen that Porter went off and they brought on Ashton on instead of Burns? Whos gone to 13? Or whats the backline looking like?

I have no idea why he wasn't looked at years ago...cracking player.
I can get it - he's not an "athlete", he's just got very good rugby brains. Not particularly fast, or agile, or strong etc. - really you need a mixture of both at international level, look how Alex Goode flopped with England

He toured Argentina with England 5(?) years ago so they had a good look at him - would've liked to have seen him get an appearance then (he was told he was going to play in one of the tests, his family flew out, but then when they formally announced the 23 his name wasn't there 😬) but c'est la vie, there's far too many options these days for him to get a look in, even at Saxons level

Potter's gone to 13

Sale playing some lovely stuff, SJ throwing the sort of passes that had commentators waxing lyrical over Cipriani not so long ago.

Watson gone now too,

So....
10. Pollard, 11. Ashton, 12. Kelly, 13. Potter, 14. Steward, 15. Burns

Mad scenes

Ben Curry playing well considering one of his feet is held on with sellotape and sellotape alone

OK fair call...but I'd still be interested to see how he'd have gone in the midfield when we had noone. Put the right players around him.
Nevermind...

That was so bad,

Traditional second half implosion underway
The fact that LJ was the only one chasing wasn't great Tom O may have had better luck with his pace I know he was facing the wrong way but Pollard was hardly moving rapidly.
