Premiership Rugby 22/23 - Rd 1

Bristol vs Bath postponed until Saturday 5:30,
Sale vs Northampton postponed - PRL haven't told Sale when they're allowed to hold the postponed fixture yet, though

Would've thought these games would've been cancelled like the football. Wonder why they took a different decision.

Bristol vs Bath no longer on BT, not on PRTV
Sale vs Northampton removed from PRTV

Presume they're waiting to see if they can send camera/commentary crew to the games before giving a definitive yes

Edit: Bristol vs Bath confirmed as not being on PRTV or BT

Absolute farce

Double edit:
Sale's confirmed not on PRTV either,
Dog **** company tbh

Which flag shagging pr*cks voted to move, then?
I bet Tony Rowe loves the Monarchy

Bristol vs Bath is showing up on peacock but who knows if that will last.

The Guardian's article on which sporting events were affected included the US Open, the Vuelta España, and the Italian Grand Prix. If anyone reading that thought other countries were going to rearrange their lives cause of this all hope is lost for them.

Teams play games two days after teammates die ffs.

This notion that high level sport is some type of recreational activity and not a serious business intertwined in the world's economy is straight from JRM's spank bank. You're not allowed to have fun, someone more important than you died.

Odd team...very puzzled.

Wonder if Blamire is being moved back to the back row permanently...?

At a guess, policing would be the difference. Finding enough spare coppers to get a football game played anywhere near London would be tricky tomorrow. Not a problem for a rugby game.

Got to be purely injuries no way you would move a international hooker to 7
Most likely, I just wonder where Blamire will end up (club wise) . Its clear that McGuigan has been and still is very much first choice and we have two VERY good young kids coming through aswell at hooker. ...and it makes me wonder what Blamire is thinking...is he happy to stay as back up...will he move to first choice ahead of McGuigan, especially when he's pushing for his england spot...

I believe they've cancelled the grassroots stuff which, obviously, requires no police presence.

You're probably right though, maybe that's the main reason but they don't want to say that publicly so just say it's due to respect instead.

Tbh I think there is also an optics gamble. Are the public more likely to be upset with cancelled games or with playing when the queen has died. I can see that football have gone with thinking people would be less upset with cancelled games.

Tshiunza might prove me wrong, but I don't think he looks like a flanker. I'd expect Reffell to boss the breakdown against that Exeter back row TBH.

Disagree strongly with this. Tshiunza's main selling point is his raw athleticism. I think that he's been severely overhyped, and think that Dafydd Jenkins is the more impressive of Chiefs' Wales U20 lock/back rowers, but to me Tshiunza is without doubt a flanker.

Missing: Montoya, Dolly, Heyes, Chessum, Wiese, JVP, Pollard, Kelly, Porter, Steward but still pretty decent squad.
