Premiership Rugby 20/21 - Rd 19

Doesn't sound good.

It's a no-fault one that could easily end in red

What is it with the referees and getting the wrong teams in their TMO calls?

That's a red card these days I think

Yellow/Red doesn't really matter at this stage of the game

I'd like to see more consistency but realistically I think yellow is OK because he gets the same in-game-sanction as if it were a red, but I don't think he needs to be up in front of the beak for a tackle like that

In terms of the individual game sure. But other sides will have lost players for x number of games after, where as Bath won't.

It was head on head, but I don't think you can saying was high degree of danger.

So Dickson again has to be told the rules of the game by another official. How many times have they had to correct him?

He penalised #21 for hands offside at that ruck....when Quirke was defending in the midfield

Right result, but by gods that was hard work, from all 3 teams

Talk about opposite halves. First half of great rugby, second half of...well that.

Think bath deserve to lose more than Sale deserve to win. No points with 2 man advantage.

Standard Bath, threw it away yet again. We need a proper defence coach, our defence has been laughable all season but to not beat a side with 2 yellows and that many penalties is ******* atrocious. These are supposed to be professionals, if I ****** up that much in my job I'd be out the door. That level of performance is shambolic.

Trade you Forshaw for your attack coach for a pre-season?
Done.

We don't have an attack coach, Dempsey was fired back in... erm... February I think it was.
We've got Hatley doing... everything (including being stretched way too thin), with Charteris as lineout specialist, and the academy coaches lending a hand as necessary.

That's seriously impressive, then
Though naturally talented players playing off the cuff does explain the majestic offloading game and also goes some way to explaining why you struggled against 14/13 men. Just needed simple structures to exploit the space/get around the blitz

We are a bit spoilt on defence, tbh - When Axe joined he said he was looking forward to working with Forshaw because the only defence that was statistically better than Sarries' wolfpack defence was Forshaw's defence.
Not sure how that's measured, because I don't think we've conceded the fewest tries in any season, but our defence is very impressive when we're switched on(/down to 13)
Could really do with a discipline coach, though

Tigers have started alright!

Always wondered why more players don't run at an angle on the 5m taps - you've got the oppositions best tacklers directly in front of you, and you just head down and run into them?
Dan du Preez ran borderline 90degrees for us last week and scored a pretty simple try cause he just ran around the players down on their haunches
