Premiership Rugby 19/20 - Rd 15

Very similar except I'm going with:

Exeter
Bristol
Wasps
Saracens
Saints
Bath

I fancy Bristol to improve significantly on last weekend.

I also think Quins will run Sarries close but that could be wishful thinking.

Interesting to see how many changes teams going with. Wasps have almost got 23 new players and completely new starting 15. Next few weeks will show which teams get the balance right.

TBH, looking at the fixtures it's sensible from both of them.

We have Saracens (away) on Saturday and then play Worcester at Sixways on Weds.

I assume Worcester are banking on the fact that we'll be going full bore against Saracens so will send a second string to play their first team midweek.

Similarly, Wasps were probably correct in expecting Sale (who they play on Tues) to go full strength against Exeter at home and send a weaker side to the Ricoh.

In both cases, they can treat this fixtures as a bit of a 50/50 knowing they'll have a good shot of beating weakened sides from Quins and Sale midweek.

Anyone got any shout out young players to watch tonight?
Wasps for sure is Barbeary (Hooker) who used to play 12 and has been called future wasps captain, Velacott at 9 (back from big ACL) and obviously Tom Willis (jack says he's better)

Is Barbeary the one that that journo on twitter was absolutely creaming himself over for ages and then he came on for England u20s and got red carded after about a minute?

Thats the one :). quality player but didn't cover himself in glory that night.

I'm excited to see how Malins goes at 15 for Bristol. Hopefully this is the beginning of him getting a good amount of game time in the Prem. Future of the England 15 shirt IMO.

TBH COVID might be a blessing in disguise. Much like in Super Rugby where they could blood all their youngsters, our clubs now have a chance for last 8 games to test them and see who steps up

Assuming that a lot of these lads were in the RugbyPass documentary in 'the Academy' ?

Bath have put out a 1st XV...
Every Bath fan predicted this when the initial fixtures were announced.
Our 2 mid-week fixtures are:
Away to Northampton - which we'd expect to lose anyway (based on the season to date), so might as well send the 2nd XV.
Home to Worcester - which will have some heads being scratched, but it's probably still best to send the 2nds out, and keep the 1sts for each weekend.

This selection suggests that Bath 2nds will be captained by Zach, and have Matevesi at FH
