Lions: Return to Oz

I'd have him on the bench. He's insanely good in the loose and is decent in the scrum, perfect kind of player to bring on against tired legs after an hour. Also, it's Australia, it's not like we need an amazing scrummaging unit to push then round the park. He's an awful lot better than anything the Scots or the English have at 1 at the moment in any case.

Denton's got to be at 8 if we're going on how well people are playing atm, he's been head and shoulders and torso and hips legs knees shins ankles and feet above every other 8 this 6N.

Fully agree, Faletau has developed a knack not to pass it when with support, did it yesterday and in the other games too. Denton has better awareness

Id have Healy on the bench without a question. But currently he is not better than Jenkins.

Only if you're Welsh. Quite apt for rational folk.
I'm pretty sure a rational person would plump for Jenkins over Healy. Not saying he's not a good player, just Gethin is incredible.

There's still a year to go anything could happen. Tuilagi hadn't played for England, no one rated Warburton and Denton was unheard of last year.

Also doesn't matter who you think is better between Healy and Jenkins as Jenkins will probably be injured.;)

Corbs heard that. He's going to diss you in his next rap man. Diss you bad.

Healy's slightly better than Corbsiero at the moment, but there isn't a whole lot in it, and both are behind Jenkins at his peak - although I think Healy will be there next year. Unless the bench change though, only one of Jenkins and Healy will be in the team next year, as neither can play tighthead. In fact, Corbs might be the man to benefit there, as he can play tighthead (not very well admittedly...)

Also, Healy vs Jenkins depends whether you want carrying or ground work more, and since neither tighthead nor hooker look like berths that will be filled by destructive ball carriers, I think Healy might nudge it...

I've never been at all impressed by Corbsiero he's decent but not a Lions test player.

I wouldn't be going voer the top calling for Denton too soon. he could be this tour's Andy Powell. seems a great call a few months before the tour and once he lands in Austrlia everyone starts looking around saying 'WTF have we done?'.

Well thank God we got another year to look at him.

Wait, people thought Powell was a great call? Really?

You're wrong but I forgive you. Also, you'd best hope I'm right, as Corbs is only a couple of injuries away from that berth right or wrong really.

Its weird. I definitley think the fully fit Welsh front row is the best in the 6N. But if I were to pick today, I'd pick none of them. Which puzzles even me. Maybe its because I'm so used to seeing them injured I just kinda forget them, maybe because I'm putting an emphasis on different qualities than each has... very odd.

Please stop there ... Jenkins carries.

It's the whole Sheridan vs. Jenkins debate, which Jenkins was better. It is widely accepted that Jenkins acts as another flanker on the pitch who does it all. Being a ball carrier is one thing Healy is good at but Jenkins can do that also.

To be honest I'd only have Rory Best from Ireland front row, Healy would be the bench option because of his apparent destructive running. Seems people are forgetting that the second choice Welsh front row did pretty well against this amazing Irish front row earlier on in the 6 Nations.

That's impossible.

Well I think from the Welsh front-row only Jones is definitely the best available. Rees is no longer the best hooker I'd have Best, Ford and Cronin ahead of him. Jenkins despite what some would have you believe is not far and away the best loosehead in the world he's obviously very good but not that good no one is. He hasn't been great since he's come back from the latest injury. Of course only time wil tell if he gets back to his best.

This one's different as Healy's actually been living up to his billing, unfortunately enough :p That was a magic moment from Jenkins, but there's a difference between running at gaps left by tired amateurs and bulling your way through seasoned pros. I've seen Healy do the latter plenty of times, I can't say I've ever seen Jenkins do it.

Healy is like having another flanker on the pitch, but he's a blindside. All big hits and carries. What makes Jenkins special is its like playing another openside. It's a shame one of them's not a tighthead really, they'd be an ideally matched pairing for me in the loose.

Then what does that make Lydiate?? Super immense, is that a real thing? Yeah.

Honestly you can do better than that. Ferris has been the best 6 in the 6n. Lydiate 2nd best but seriously Ferris is just unreal.
