June Internationals: New Zealand - France, 2nd test

French getting into a big mess 5m from the AB try line, can expect another AB try soon.

Aw no, game finished.

Out-thought
Out-scored
Out-defended
Out-run
Out-played
Out-passioned

Its a shutout!

30-0. What a terrible, terrible day...:(
Did not see that coming...France played so terribly...at least in that 2nd half I've seen.

NZ took advantage of our shyttiness and made us pay each time. Ohhhhhhhhhh we-ell !!.....
Powerless on attack...but also good NZ defense, but we were wayyyy too predictable, slow.

Maybe next week is our day...

When you see an open wound you reach straight for the salt, doncha? ;)

I agree, though. The ABs made definite improvement over last week, and the French were just flat, really lacking the fire they needed to compete. I really would have preferred a more even match-up, hopefully the French will be on top of their game next week.

Could have been worse, could have been 30 points worse...

aaaaahhhh wtvr, a terrible game is a terrible game man, Ireland came one Dan Carter drop goal shy of drawing or even possibly BEATING the AB, and they were super on form then, no excuse...

It's just, I have high expectations...if only we clicked...just clicked...on paper, we shouldn't ever get to this point. The Blacks played fine defense, but not amazing either. They scored 3 tries, but off our incompetence...it's just really the definition of LOSING a match. Handing the match to the best side in the world, in an away game...we didn't give ourselves any chance, such a lack of creativity and preparation...
It's just stupid....we deserve this loss, but we shouldn't give away such defeats.

Fkn France man.........

So far it's like a watered down version of the Irish last year. Maybe next one we'll lose it by half a point?
Still, I'd consider it an ok tour if the next game isn't decided yet by the 78th minute (unless it's decided in our favor, which I doubt.)

Also, to be honest, I was afraid that Freddie would play his one-good-game-every-ten, won it, and that that had bought him credit until ~2017. At least now it is obvious even to PSA (I hope!) that he can't play 10 for France.

I voted you the worst grammar for my nominations. Its good to see the improvements :)

C'mon! Let's go for a charge-down, followed by a try!

;)

Edit: 23-0 ... now I'm feeling sorry for the French...

das

I am only up to the 55th minute as catching up.....Medard and Michalak must surely have played their last international games...and if not PSA and his side kick, Richard Head, should resign immediately. The kicking has been woeful from Medard, Michalak and Machenaud......whereas the ABs have all found space, the French kick has gone to hand with little or no support running. The way to beat the ABs is to go at them and I have yet to see one decent French back move.....it is just kicked away for them to run back. The whole team has been devoid of attacking nouse and the pummeling on the try line, which the ABs defended very well, was case in point......

Michalak has been charged down, failed with his poor drops, missed a sitter of a penalty, charged out of the line to completely disrupt the defensive line and thrown very poor passes................I can only believe that he is still on in the vain hope that he will be needed as a place kicker?

Picamoles has been outstanding in carrying the ball although some of his ball reception has been poor.......Dusatoir is playing to the ref and been effective...Swar..WTF..ki has been so so bad he could play as hooker for Leicester and England and be called Ben Youngs....or even Rory Best!!

I would have to say, and without tongue in cheek but behind gritted teeth....think Rolland haviing a very good game..............!!

france were never going to win as soon as Michalak was selected.
Saint Andre: "He's picked to bring flair and we need to be clinical. I hope he can give us that"
He is delusional. Michalak has everything but a clinical edge and stability. Saint Andre wouldnt leave him out the squad however he plays, and that could be his achillies heel injury. It is beyond me why michalak is still being picked, apart from his goal kicking. The whole of France should start a petition to have him off the team. Worst 10 in the world right now. Talented number 9 playing out of position

New Zealand were better today, and 30-0 isnt a huge surprise in result.
There are many flaws in french rugby right now, but i suppose one of the bigger ones is that saint andre doesnt have much confidence or assurance in the french team, (Apart from michalak). He complains that there are too many foreigners in the french top 14, which is true, but he at times he chooses to ignore n leave out some of the better french players available to him. Marc Andreu is a better winger than Adrien Plante, palisson hes not considered much. Bastereud is more of a threat than fritz, kayser is better than szarsweski, he wasted fofana on the wing at a time Trinh-Duc is one of the best 10s in france and not considered.

This French team is ruined by a completely clueless head coach, it's unbelievable that he hasn't been sacked yet. Is Michalak PSA's secret son or something?

New Zealand was clearly the better team today, but the referee did a lot to ensure the All Blacks won by a big margin as well...

Called it straight? Yeah.

All Blacks just dominated. Some beautiful tries as well. I'd like to see the All Blacks play a bit more like they did 23 up - there were times during the game I felt they played it a bit too safe, just relying on extremely good tactical kicking - but there were times when they had the overlap and didn't take it. Dagg played extremely well with his kicking, positioning and high ball catching - but dear god his sidestep has become ineffective and predictable.

HaHa....more agreement from me....you will begin to think I am stalking you!! I agree with what you say and to say the ref ensured the win only shows Dragos's lack of understanding......Rolland was actually, and for once, good and fair!!

No. You're wrong. Michalak DOES have plenty of flair. Just for some reason forgot who he was, what an oval rugby is and how it reacts on the field...I thought it was fatigue and age, but apparently it's a season/year long slump and he is a very, very sensitive person I take from seeing a lot of interviews, post-game talks on TV, and obviously last but not least, his actual performance on the field.
Some ppl have said here, and I agree fully: he's almost like the paradigm of French Rugby.
Let's not forget he tore Australia and Argentina open, not 10 years ago, not 5, but just last november. And played excellent again against the hungriest Samoan team to date.
We can't just forget this as Rugby fans. It's ridiculous.
But yes, of course as of right now, he's a walking catastrophe.

But yes, you know what I say ? PLEAAAAAASE ITALY, GIVE US BRUNEL BACK !!!! PLEASE ?!!

Don't get ahead of yourself there. 30-0 is a very flattering score, and should depict that wtvr happened, one team annihilated the other. But in retrospect, 3 tries: 2 off France's ridiculous play; 1 million phases on the NZ try-line, and absolutely no creativity+flair+ the slowest execution in matches.

We were terrible, and yet conceded just 3 tries. And 2 off the counter. And there was no way we'd score a try, unless NZ literally fell asleep on the field (i.e. with blankets and cushions).

At the end of the day, NZ still beat the crap out of France 30-0. That's thirty points, to NOTHING. But having watched the thing, it's still flattering. France were so poor, in everything but the scrum, and on defense somewhat; I thought this could've easily gone smt like 45-6 or smt.

I thought NZ should've gone RAMPANT on us, and yet 3 tries...
This will sound completely incredible, but I'm not ashamed of this loss at all. I'm just very, very tired of seeing France under-perform considering the class players we have, and the depth, and the sort of defense, breakdown dominance and flair we have in stock. Aplenty.

Congrats NZ. In both tests, the AB took advantage of the French incompetence, almost instantaneously, but certainly in a regular fashion.
Clearly, clearly the better team this match. But sorry NZ, not much credit. France WERE terrible.
