June Internationals: Argentina v England, Second Test (15/06/13)

shut up, Conrad Smith ! You hurt my team badly today !...:(

Hey Argentina all of a sudden are magically holdin up strong in that set-piece...

EDIT: right...just as I say that, penalty try !! :p

How uncanny is it to look at the stat sheet and see 'PENALTY TRY against Argentina' ?!
Who are these guys anyways, 4th stringers ???

So sorry, France played well in the first test. But today your team hit a black wall

;-)

guys, think a little bit. I was obviously talking about the couple of scrums BEFORE that huge penalty try. The ones BEFORE that happened...mmm.

DON'T TALK TO ME !! *runs like a wild little angry teen*

Hopefully we will start to pick up some pace now and silence the RGs booing. I've always found it quite pathetic...

I presume you werent watching the previous scrums then? In one, Argentina got marched 25 metres down field.

I know it's been picked up on in commentary, but the front 5 handling is very good, especially considering this is England.

Catt's influence finally having an effect?

Love Nigel's chat with the players, telling Kyle he'd award him the try if he could!

well obviously I wasn't talking THAT ONE EITHER, Henry ! God !! what's with these guys ?!

But more importantly, this Argie side flat out SUCKS. England are making some nice passes but are running amok freely, making basic passes and Arg. is BARELY there on defense !! England against any other real national side wouldn't go anywhere with that attack, we'd have constant rucks and phases. This is ridiculous....I thought England was playing well, but you look at Argentina and what they do in itself, it's just not a national side right here.
And the scrum ? What kind of a team has this scrum ?!

Argentina have absolutely no creativity or imagination. Forwards only rugby.

Think we probably just trebled the tackles missed count there.

Pumas don't have their best players, most of them are youngs players with little experience. Personally, I think the Argie Scrum without Patricio Albacete is not the same. Pumas don't have a substitute lock of highest level

England should have been able to stop that try. Argentina had NO variation in their attack yet England didn't adapt their defence and try to actually push the Argies back in contact.

Been impressed with Webber this tour - he's not a back/forward hooker like Brits and Youngs, but he throws well and carries/tackles hard.
Good to see him taking his chances well, I was a big fan of his at Wasps, and between him and Youngs we should be set for a while with two good hookers.

I was never a fan of Webber at Wasps, he's looked fantastic on this tour and at Bath of late though, would be ahead of Hartley for me.

Good effort Marland!

Great try from Eastmond - people often say he's too small for the centres, but his low centre of gravity/general oompa-loompa-ness allows him to work his way through like that!
