Ireland vs France - 09/03/2013

But for a 15 to have worst amount of metres in a back line is a terrible stat BG8 and having had most opportunities. Come on like factor in receiving kicks. It's not hard to see why everyone says Hogg vs Halfpenny. On a side note that Aviva pitch is a joke

Not when you tactics are kick it back. He doesn't get meters for running after the ball.

No but come on even Murray has more metres and if he's kicking every ball that points to his downfall. Maybe your point is valid but if that is case I certainly think that will be a big reason for decreasing his Lions chances.
Great to see Murray and Jackson really settling and making Parra and Michalak look like they are the inexperienced duo

Paddy Jackson's boot is fantastic today. Only one he missed was very close from far out. Great stuff.

SOB showcasing his tactical kicking there in a bid for the10 slot for the lions. :p

I never said anything about his Lions chances. We were talking about Earls and you brought him up for some reason.

Jackson kicking really well.

France not improved and Ireland could stroll this one unless PSA makes the obvious change.......PLUS they have to get stuck in a lot more than they are. Some of the Irish ball handling has been spectacular in these conditions and compare that to the game v England eh!!

Well I just mentioned it as seperate stat as I was amazed for a fullback to have that stat despite receiving most ball. But will say I think Earls has done well in all performances on wing. And Kearney hasn't played poor but no link was intended between 2

Quite impressed my Murray's 6Ns so far (dreadful kick aside....but that seems to be the instruction for the match...gonna be some bad ones in there). Considering all the slack he's been getting.

Best overall 6N by an Irish scrumhalf in about four years...

Our boxkick tactic is working early but they've figured it out now and are just kicking the ball behind us.

Also this may be harsh but I think McFadden struggling position ally they're aiming kicks down there and he's yet to get 1. I know they're good kicks also but we as a team need to sort it. But hard to believe this is same Jackson who played vs Scotland.

Two things:
1. This is the worst game from France this 6N, on par with the Wales game.
2. The next time I hear someone saying that Huget "is not a fullback", I al going to hack into his computer and make "Huget is a fullback" as his email signature permanently.

What are you talking about, McFadden had had a pretty good game, he's knocked the ball back what, 2 or 3 times? Chasing well and made a few good hits.

Never mentioned him playing poorly just his positioning. Like I'd say Earls missed tackles (2) could've been costly. But overall we playing well

Jackson so much more assured.

Now comes the period that's being our worst for a while.

NO !! I see what you're doing there Ireland !! Don't you dare !!!

...nah, we're still coming up with the win..

I think 2 half back look comfortable and Jackson shown big balls after missing kick to step up way he did for next kick took guts. Our forwards are playing superb and Heaslip shown glimpses of old Headlip too.
Also while I mentioned McFadden positioning for some kicks I don't thinks he's been poor and his kick-chase was superb and he's quicker than I ever gave him credit for
