Ireland vs France - 09/03/2013

Unlikely that this will be an exciting game. Similar weather to the England match.

Not sure who this favours - both have solid packs. Parra probably a better kicker, so France might edge it.
Think this is the kind of match (the teams are on the kind of form that) the home team wins, so I'm thinking Ireland will edge it by 3pts.

Surely that umbrella is big enough to cover both of them. Poor old Moore!

I don't know why we even play the 6N at this time of year? I was hopping for a good game after the one at Murrayfield but it looks like the weather's going to ruin this one, just like when Eng visited :(

Has nobody ever thought of playing the tournament in the summer? Good conditions would surely promote more interesting play.

Pundits are saying while in the past this may have suited us with the more expansive style we've been trying to play that this may favor the French. I'm inclined to agree. Have a feeling the French set piece will be too good for us.

I'm predicting hell for the Irish scrum... It's gonna get ugly at the 60 minute mark.

Only cause Ross will be wrecked. Kidney doesn't like his bench.

Interesting that Ryan has won more lineout ball than any other player.

The replacement French frontrow is not at the level of the starting one, you shouldn't be scared.

I presume you're not aware of Mr Archer?

Love a good maul.

EDIT: Great conversion.

Could be too close to call in this weather but the Irish clearly have (at the least) an equal scrum and their rolling mauls have been fantastic yet the French failed to take the jumper down as he hit the ground?

I saw Michalak make a tackle there............this could be a really wierd game if that kind of stuff goes on............

Not one comment on Walsh yet.....................?!

With no tries or assists...
And least amount of balls received. Interestingly Kearney has had most balls and well is now 3rd in line for Lions 15s shirt despite having most ball out of all 3 candidates he's done least

Top notch mauling by the Irish so far, to the extent where it doesn't even look like a maul, just a pack of players running forewards.

It's all very well getting the ball it's more about the quality and where you're getting it.

But for a 15 to have worst amount of metres in a back line is a terrible stat BG8 and having had most opportunities. Come on like factor in receiving kicks. It's not hard to see why everyone says Hogg vs Halfpenny. On a side note that Aviva pitch is a joke
