How did France not score there? Huget blew an overlap.

Even worse is that it was Bastareaud, who Id have backed even with a defender in front from that distance/at pace.

Huget was knocked out... So no, no he didn't.

Was he really knocked out? On replay it appears he wasn't hit hard at all - more like pushed away (hand to face), and when he fell he put his arm out, landed softly, laid on his back, then rolled over on his stomach. Oh, and he was back up on his feet in just a minute or so. I'm calling fake on that one. (Sorry, hubby called - not sure if Huget is still in the game, or not. )

Is it happening elsewhere? I know some players will milk a hit, stay down when they don't really need to, and maybe get some pointers from the physio, but I've noticed lately that it appears the French players are doing it with much more flair.

Earls should have had a penalty. Probably wouldn't have got there, but he's been nudged out of his path without the ball which is illegal. Ridiculous.

Wierd, wierd game! France came back, and this is wierd, and the Irish fell like tin soldiers...............Poor Madigan seems like broken leg? Ref in France suffered double fracture last night in Montpellier....two in a a week end...wierd!

BOD goes off and then is allowed back on.... was that a concussion call or blood as I saw no blood on his way off? Wierd!

Hope he gets huge send off if indeed this is his last game............

Do not think that either side can really take a lot out of this match!

Edit - Why did not the French go for a drop instead of the Michalak kick dead???? Wierd!!

And then kicked through when it was never on! Should have kept it and tried the DG or for a penalty. Absolutely idiotic.
