It is and it's going to be ******* down, probably on a pitch that'll be probably pretty cut up!!

Just looking at the two teams, and while the north has bleeted on about how this is possibly the best ever Ireland team, I really won't be surprised if we win. If this was being played in Australia we would win comfortably. The fact it is being played at Croke Park is defiantly going to have baring, but if the weather is decent and we play to our ability we really should knock these Paddies off.[/b]

Now the Rog has being picked to start I think the Aussies should win too. Plus Aussies have had a big chunk of international rugby together.

The Irish team is going in Cold. Flannery's just back from injury. I'm not concinced by Wallace at inside centre.

I don't think anyone will be surprised if the Aussies win but would you be surprised if they lost?

But if the weather is decent and we play to our ability we really should knock these Convicts off.

Wow was not expecting such a dignified response. Was really just stirring mate I have no doubts this is going to be a very touch match. I haven't seen much of Ireland but you have to be a good side to win the Six Nations and of course they are going to be strong on their own patch. Could go either way in my opinion.

Is this game being played on a Sunday in Ireland?

Yeah, the puffball team have the World Cup qualifier first leg on Saturday in Croker. I hope there's not soccer lines still on the pitch come Sunday. They'll only have about 15 hours between the end of one match and the beginning of the next and about 10 of those will be in darkness...

Well so far on the weather front i've heards its going to be damp, bright and breezey. Then at lunch time I heard a storm warning for the weekend. it was meant to rain every day this week, and while there were floods down south, its been pretty dry in Dublin.

I'll tell you when I get to the ground okay, cause none of the experts have a clue.

well they're now saying he'll start but he'll probably be doing well to get 50 or 60 minutes.

Did anyone else see Brent Pope's signed match-ball from the 1992(??) game?

How awesomely cool.

And yes it should be a cracker of a game.

What time is it over in everyone's part of Australia? Apparantly the weather is calm and sunny over Ceoke Park atm...could change quickly though.

ah Popey's a legend, finding it in the gutter on the way home from a night out, was the 91 quarter final btw.

Both teams looking for running rugby by the sound of thiings. Could be a really even match that ends up with a one-sided scoreline to either side. Just down to the team that crosses the line more often.

"Ireland call" really is a joke of a tune. Positively cringeworthy.

Anyway, Ireland in with a good shout if O'Rara attempts to play instead of doing his best Wilkinson impression and hoofing the ball away all afternoon.

jesus wonder's will never cease he's actually managed to kick a goal.

7-3 Australia 6 mins

Why does the "feature player" on the buildup always end up playing a stinker?

BODs century match, a succession of mistakes so far.

Added pressure of having to meet the BBC's high standards...

Uh oh...Jonathan Kaplan is reffing.

Well thats killed the game for Ireland alright. Surprised Kaplan hasn't pinged O'Driscoll for not having his shoes tied properly.

EDIT: ooooh, he pinged the Aussies for being on their feet at the ruck! He's being awful for both teams :)

Kaplan: Master of the biased/bad call. If he hates your team, you'll probably lose.

There's a time to spread the ball and it's not when you're being pushed back inside your own-half. Fecking eegits.

Not too bad thoug when you consider how rusty Ireland must be.

Uh oh. Paging Mite to the thread! I hear non-traditional rugby fan antics in the form of drums!!!!

OOOOOW HUGE DANGEROUS TACKLE! Yellow! Deserved! Bodycheck by Palu.
