Ireland v Fiji - 23/11/2024 (15.10)

If both teams have hands on the ball from the lineout catch, is it ever a maul?
I mean technically yes, but as it went down Fiji didn't have the ball, and it was being held by both the catcher and the hooker, Ireland spent time trying to set the maul, so realistically as the ball goes to ground she has 2 options, turnover ball, or penalty to Fiji as not 1 irishman attempted a ruck or to stay on their feet, including 2 irishman in front of the ball...

IMO

Casey having a v nice game now. Think a few players like him, Prendergast and Gus have settled down very nicely now and playing great stuff. Aki so valuable in a game like this too.

Fiji incredibly poor in both side of ball. Shooting out of the line left and right, zero communication.

Davidsons terrified of reffing Ireland, probably never had such a large partisan crowd before.

Jaysus poor Stockdale, hope that's not serious. Had just Found his way out of the wilderness after so long.

Why have they put a guy who's never played senior loosehead at loosehead at international level?

Well deserved for Gustavo, reckon they will give him MOTM.

He tidied his game after the first quarter and has looked like a senior international since..
