In the first half Portuguese player intercepts a ball and has clear run for the post refs brings it back saying the Scottish player pass came from Portuguese arm when tackling but replay shows came of the head of the Portuguese player and not the hand, was it correct to stop the play?

The replay I saw shows the ball clearly coming off the Portuguese arm
