Ireland v Fiji - 23/11/2024 (15.10)

Have refs got bored of pinging blocking lines now, that pen Fiji conceded for tackle in the air looked like one that would have been pinged thee other way a few weeks ago, could argue FP over rules that though I guess.

Absolutely moronic

Are refs just scared to give a straight red now.

He's moved and braced for it no way can you call that accidental.

Probably a yellow but could see it raised to red for clear shoulder to head and no mitigation

Yeah, yellow only I reckon. Low force, player falling and soaking it up.
Disagree with the soaking element of this statement he's changed his angle and lent into it slowing his moment, it's not like he's back peddling as a players come towards him.

Tackle is always illegal as well, as it's a tucked arm

Depends how much mitigation they give the absorbing hit rather than dominant hit

I think he was trying to turn out of it and then braced for contact. Seen worse only given yellow. Probably red a few years back.

Fiji attacking the period very well.

That's criminal, the imaginary knock on losing them possession on Irelands line, I think most T1 nations get the scrum changed their way there.

That should be a red due to stupidity.
But as I say that, they've just talked it down.

Fiji getting rode by the officials again.

Ireland just getting away with the rub at the breakdown. Fiji were unlucky with the 'lost on the floor' call

And Casey ain't Dupont... so unless he can find a real point of difference soon - he's never gonna be seen as anything but a stop gap as he's too small.
