Ireland v England - 19 August 2023

SB has a gameplan, but

1) it doesnt fit the player profile
2) he is either not communicating it or it us too complex.
That is the problem and what I was talking about. He has a plan, but it doesnt suite the players, if thats the case as a coach, especially at international level where you can adapt the player pool, you build your plan to suit the best players you have, not try and fit players into your game plan.

Might upset the Argentine and 'scrape' a win, while they are scraping all of that off their shoes.

Commentary team was trying really hard to out stink England. Utter shite.

With only 3 or 4 exceptions most people would have picked a similar RWC squad. The player base is what it is - it's not stellar but it's OK.

The coach's job is to make the team greater than the sum of its individual parts. There has been literally no indication of that. None. Nada. Zilch. Zip. Sweet FA.

The barest minimum requirement is organised, disciplined and energetic and we're none of those.
I'm not sure about that. I could easily see a more progressive or positive coach would of included
Sam Underhill
Zach Mercer
VRR
Tom Willis
Anyone else other Young or Van P. Spencer or Warr the obvious two
Dan Kelly
Caden Murley
Someone else with pace on the wing
Someone with pace or positional sense at FB Steward has neither

Then we have the total nonesense of picking a disinterested Billy as our only 8. For a bloke who weighs 22 . He make such little meterage or ruck speed

Nailing your mast early to Farrell, despite him clearly not meeting a starting place at 10 or 12

Then the insistence of playing a lock at 6. Despite seeing no evidence in threeyears that this works for England. All of England's best rugby has been played with two flankers playing in the flanks

Borthwick was a poor player, a very bad captain and is embarrassingly out of his depth as an international coach

I thought this problem was with Eddie Jones, but it's still going on. Winning or losing, they have these moments where England just make a mess of it. Not sure if it's a discipline thing or just a poor attitude.

England are absolute guff but in the maddest of twists don't meet Ireland, NZ or France until the final- mental. They couldn't wish for a fairer passage but they look utterly clueless. They look like a side trying not to get hammered as opposed to trying to threaten a WC win.

Unfortunately, our key game will be Japan once Argentina utterly destroy us.

The game plan is far too basic. Player revolt incoming a La 2007.
