Investec Champions Cup 23/24 - Rd 4

Should add just rewatched. If you look after score Saints player stays down a few secs and it looks like he holds head but think he was a tad gassed. Like he up in the few seconds and not 1 ill effect. If he did get it in face he would have felt it some bit in that weather especially.but have seen 3 angles and think they all clear there was no knee near head and Frisch did get out of way safely. Now knowing him he is not a dirty player so never had doubt regardless. However if he did try all his movements getting out of way and still fid connect with head then that is a different story. Similar to red card incident but thankfully here he did clear the mans head and clearly had no intent and did not connect anywhere near head.
That's fair, in real time it looked like he did, it was pretty stupid and reckless, completely unnecessarily, luckily he had just enough time and control to avoid contact.

But to be fair in wide out view you can see his footing went. Like I work with Munster lads daily and without naming names if it was 1 of a few others I'd know he did go for him out of frustration but Frisch is a very clean player

POM springs to mind, I share his love of fine lawns though so he's all good with me.

Well there is a few more ahead of him but yeah I'd just say Frisch, Beirne and Crowley are 3 that don't know how to be dirty.

Hypothetically speaking if one of them ended up in a similar incident to Langdon, knowing their character and lack of malice and dirty play would you still feel the same towards the red card incident and allegations of it being intentional (not saying you have said it was) or would your perception be different and offer a little more sympathy?

Yes. I said already even for Frisch. He clearly got out of way but even in act of getting out of way if you connect with head it red. The laws are black and white there. Wheather we agree or not it is 1 of clearest past of rule.
I have heard there will be a 4 week ban possibly. I don't agree with that for Saints player. Duration of game is enough.
But I do have extreme sympathy for Saints player but as I said unfortunately that the rule. Same as CJ years ago vs South Africa and also if Frisch connected. It a red once you come in contact with head

The strength difference in that scrum was mad - looked like La Rochelle were just pushing a scrum machine backwards
Fair play we somehow kept it up (oo err) though

Shouldn't that be a 5m scrum to La Rochelle? He knocked it on short not in goal
