This one dedicated to Heineken..

I had a look at the most prevalent name in SA for men; Johannes and can put in a decent XV even if the guys aren't all known as Johannes. These all are Johannes but I'll give the names they're known by in brackets;

1 JL (LodeWickus) Blaauw
2 DJ (Deon) Fourie
3 CJ (CJ) Van der Linde
4 JP (Bakkies) Botha
5 GJ (Johann) Muller
6 GJ (GiDeon) Stegmann
7 HJ (Lappies) Labuschagne
8 DJ (Duane) Vermeulen
9 HJW (Jano) Vermaak
10 JL (Johan) Goosen
11 AWJ (Alwyn) Hollenbach
12 NJ (Stokkies) Hanekom
13 JJ (JJ) Engelbrecht
14 DJW (Danie) Poolman
15 JJ (Jaco) Taute

Bakkies, Lappies and Stokkies in one team LOL!!! I love the SA habit of people only being known by their nicknames. (Boom) Prinsloo could also make this team.

When Dan Thomas joined Glos, there was a brief period where I thought we would be able to field a "Dan"/"Thomas" pack:

1. Dan Murphy
2. Dan George
3. Yann Thomas
4. Tom Palmer
5. Tom Hicks
6. Tom Savage
7. Thomas Young
8. Dan Thomas (c)

Alas, not to be. :(

lets do the new South Africa team

1.) Jannie du Plessis
2.) Bismark du Plessis
3.) Thomas du Toit
4.) Pieter-Steph du Toit
5.) Carel du Preez
6.) Jacques du Plessis
7.) Ivan-John du Preez
8.) Cornell du Preez
9.) Fourie du Preez
10.) Willie du Plessis
11.) Andries du Plessis

Switch Willie and JL du Plessis; switch Jannie and Thomas.
Daniel and Jean Luc du Preez can go into the back row, and their older brother Rob into 10 if you wanted. Not sure who most of the other backs are tbh.

Matt XV:

3- Matt Mullan (Wasps)
4- Matt Garvey (Bath)

This is the sound of Lucky Number 7 masturbating.
I spewed coffee over my keyboard but I'm not even mad. +1

I'mScotty, +1 for the effort. Since my surname is 'De Jager' and I'm feeling left out and can't stop with pointless XV's I'll add the 'De's to your 'Du's for a potent backline and shoring up the pack;

1.) Thomas du Toit
2.) Bismark du Plessis
3.) Jannie du Plessis
4.) Lood de Jager
5.) Pieter-Steph du Toit
6.) Jacques du Plessis
7.) Stephan de Wit
8.) Cornell du Preez
9.) Fourie du Preez
10.) Robert du Preez
11.) Damian de Allende
12.) Jean de Villiers
13.) Juan de Jongh
14.) JP du Plessis
15.) Willie du Plessis

well alright then
Now, don't give me that TONE, young man. I was just trying to help out. I realize adding 'Le' or 'La' would've actually been more appropriate since they're all of French origin whereas 'De' is solid Dutch along the 'Van, Van der/den' line.
