Heineken Champions Cup - Round of 16 (2nd Leg)

a couple years ago USA rugby had a directive to make the jackler hold on for 2+ seconds and they were somehow shocked that dudes were getting concussed left and right at the breakdown

Rob du Preez with arguably the best box kick of the game

Maybe he does have a future at 9

Insanely generous from the ref to call Akkers throw straight, considering he's been hot on Bristol for it

Quality of rugby has been ok; I've seen much worse games than this; better than the Lions games last year, which was stiiiiiiiinkers

So how was that Sale put in straight?

Opening was good but can't blame Sale for this poophousery given Faf's yellow. Better side at the moment and well earned score.

I think there's a directive from World Rugby to give Akker some leeway - if it's catchable by either side then just call it straight, cause usually he throws directly down the touchline

Yup, that's red

Smallest man on the pitch clocking someone in the jaw isn't a good look

This is where I question Pat. Okay there was a wonky throw but our scrum was a bit creaky before bringing on Thacker who for all his strengths, isn't a scrummaging hooker by any stretch of the imagination.

*edit*
There you go. Can't say it isn't deserved. Also Bristol line out and scrum has gone backwards since Johnathan Thomas and Mark Irish left the coaching team (also skills regressing after Bruce Reihana gone to France)
