Eleven players of the french XV in the final are 30 years of older. That means Wales, England and even Ireland are doing a better job regenerating the team, thinking in England 2015.

France is too old, they seem to have a solution with players such as Medard, Trinh Duc, Parra, Palisson or Mermoz for the 3/4 line. But what about the forwards? Picamoles, Ouedraogo, Lakafia, Domingo... they all look promising, but are they good enough to take the place of Nallet, Dusatoir, Bonnaire, Harinordoquy, Servat, Mas and co.?

In my opinion Wales, England and even Ireland are far ahead in their work with young players;

Will France have a solid team for England 2015, will they be World Cup contenders?.

I'm not a Top 14 expert, and I would like to know what the frenchs, or Top 14 fans in general, think on this matter

All i know about French juniour Rugby is that Jean-Marc Doussain was brought in with 5 mins left. Also there is the likes of Huget, Parra and a few others that have years left in the belt to make it to England 2015

Don't worry about us mate, 4 years is enough to bring young players to light. A lot of them are already starting to shine in the Top 14. I'm not too worried about 2015.

EDIT. When I have more time i'll give you a list of youg awesome french players to follow in the Top 14.

Surely Dusautoir can make it to the next world cup, and possibly Mas too.

From my, admittedly quite limited, experience, forwards start to come out as great players a little later than backs. It's quite easy to worry about how the French side is currently but four years is a long time and France have always produced plenty of talent, maybe too much if you look at Lievremont's chopping and changing tactics.

France have an absolutely brilliant 9, 10 pairing in the making in Parra and Trinh-Duc, more than can be said for England right now, so I'm pretty sure they'll be in good standing for 2015. That said, I'd like to hear a Frenchman's views on their current young talent.

Domingo, Barcella, Mas (35 is not too old for a prop) and he can always hope that Ducalcon finally learns the ****ing game.
Szrczewski, Guirado (see Ducalcon)
Plus frontrowers like Noirot, Schuster, Montès and... my secret desire is that Johnson Falefa quialifies through residency.
Locks, Papé, Pierre and Millo-Chlusky can still make it, plus Maestri, Boukerou and surtout Fakaté.
Backrow: Dusautoir, Ouedraogo, Picamoles, Lakafia, Galan (perhaps not yet though), Nyanga.

And that's mostly Toulouse, I'm sure the other teams will have many young players too.

15? By 2015 there should be a pool of at least 5000 French players with test caps to their names ready and available for selection...

Kayser, Wisniewski, Estebanez, Pierre, Doussain...

Teams like ASM and Toulouse have a plenty of very talented young players.
