France v Ireland

Ah, if we're going back in time:

No. Grandslams
Code:
England France Ireland
 12        8       2
[/b]
Grand Slam per head of population - Ireland way ahead, but Scotland are probably a bit better, and Wales are the greatest!

French people cant speak english, English people cant speak french.

Gringo, let's be fair, not so many French people can speak English... If you travel a bit in northern Europe you'll be impressed. Regarding English people they've stopped learning foreign languages a decade ago.
[/b][/quote]

Well thats exactly what I was saying! Thats a great common point between us: we are neighbors but wont bother learning each others shitty languages.

shtove: France #1 producer of bullshit?

I would very much like to know what you are referring to.

back on topic .. i reckon the french will give ireland a fierce good game but if the french defend as tight as the did vs scotland they will be torn apart out wide ..thankfully being half french half irish i can never loose with this fixture lol[/b]

I sincerely hope thats what the Irish staff believes and is working on this week. As i said before, I bet you my scooter we are not going to use blitz defense against the Irish.

Last weekend I cheered for England, can you believe it? In the past the remembrance of the Welsh 70's side would have automatically brought my support to the Red team, but I think the many comments comming from Ireland and Wales made my mind to evolve. English Rugby supporters are much more humble and most of them are nice blokes.
[/b]

I'd advise you to never trawl through 606 then. ;)

And what's wrong with Socialism Shtove?

The first run on a UK bank in 150 years, the bank that conned working people into unaffordable mortgages, backed by the so called "Labour" Party ...

They haven't gone away, you know.

Not socialism. Middle ground politics. If you want a socialist country look at Sweden, and while I haven't exactly been following Norse economic matters, I haven't heard any bad sounds coming from that direction.

Ireland Wales and Scotland vs England and France :p

What have England and France got in common:
-Both full of BS
-Dry sense oh humour
-Women made pregnant by John Terry :p

But well for size of countries in sport overall especially France ye have terrible records.

Oh bring on the Frenchies and oh yeah JESUS CHRIST I THOUGHT DUBLIN WAS RIP OFF BUT â'¬7 for a pint in Paris  MA LOAD UP THE SLABS OF HEINO :p

You haven't ... yet.

Middle ground my arse. Oh I forgot - you're public sector and haven't lost your house because someone else is paying for it. Plenty of time for that to change.

Lads it must be that English rugby in major decline if English be shouting for French

And Chabal always seems to choke against Irish be it vs Munster or Ireland and probably if he'd met Leinster Heaslip and Co would destroy him.[/b]

I always want the French to win. It's a wonderful country. I see them as our equals, rather than our inferiors.
[/b][/quote]

Ginger my view of English Rugby has radically changed, "défoncer les rosbifs" had always been my number one priority at the time of the 5/6N and while I was still playing rugger. Nowadays it's no more as important as it used to be, it's my second priority only. :p

Well they don't really have a choice these days do they :p

I take it you didn't have the internet around 00-03, the English were worse then than we are now. Put I suppose if we won a World Cup we'd be unbearable.

I have access to the Internet since the early 90's... I remember pretty well the English attitude around the golden years of Sir Clive Woodward. At that time I found this arrogance quite natural and to a certain extent a prolongation of Will Carling's years. Eating humble pie time to time might be a good thing. When your team has very good results you should remember not to behave like what you have seen from others. We'll see how English Rugby fans psyche evolves with time...

1. Sarkozy's gvt is right wing,
2. How does a country known for 'chatting blarney' manage to accuse others of BS?

I think that the control of O'Driscoll will undo the French this weekend.

Bastareud's handling game is awful... the second half against Scotland should have landed him another 2 tries, but due to his vast fingers and lack of general control he looked like a 5 year old with a full size rugby ball !!

If Ireland can get past him on their rush defence then job done in my book !!

:D

Meh, I think of Mathieu Bastareaud as a lesser version of Ma'a Nonu. Dangerous with the ball, good at breaking the line, however not great handleing and on and off form.

Old Labour and New Labour are two very, very different things.

Didn't know you were a bunch of Tories on here. :p
