Don't like that guy Bastareau he is the example that this sport is not going in the right direction. 15 people spent a night behind bars because his rubbish story.
Sure he's on a few drugs did you see the size of the guy.[/b]
He was a big baby. The French coaching team had a hell of a job getting him out of the incubator.

Watch out or Bastareaud will eat your children while you're sleeping. Seriously man, just because he's big doesn't mean he's on drugs.

Yeah, there are much bigger players than him out there, doesn't mean they're all juicing

Whoa it set up and now the craic starts

Earls to score try in last minute to level game and Sexton to have conversion on the touchline and nail it :p We win :)

But Clerc is 1 player I didn't wana see as the guy could be dead and he'd still find a way of scoring against us <_<

That's because Vincent Clerc is a world class player and on form he would easily make any all-European team of the last 5 years.

Don't expect any Irishman to talk down Clerc or any French player before the game! I would normally point out how he has hardly been at his best since his injury, but that would really be asking for another hattrick! Agree with you, Clerc is class, still shudder at the thought of Croke Park '07 and the Hattrick in Paris '08.

And don't get me wrong everyone in Irish respects French and irrespective of form, we aware they can do world-class skills at any time.

Lets not forget while they lost in Croker last year they played brilliantly in a brilliant game.

And Ginger, I wasn't putting Clerc down I know he is talented and on his day would walk on to any All_European team over last 5 years,

I think it would just about make my day if Clerc bounces off O'Gara to score the winning try in the dying seconds. Come on France![/b]

I second this motion.

If Chabal come from the stands and proceeds to crap on O'Garas head after, I may just have a baby!!!!

Lads it must be that English rugby in major decline if English be shouting for French

And Chabal always seems to choke against Irish be it vs Munster or Ireland and probably if he'd met Leinster Heaslip and Co would destroy him.

And what do you want to about it, create weigth categories like in boxing or Judo.

We could have a less than 70kg rugby XV and a 100+, it acually already exists.

he didn't choke last year, had an excellent game in Croker, especially in the first half.

I always want the French to win. It's a wonderful country. I see them as our equals, rather than our inferiors.

I know he was good last year but once out of alot of games is like saying ROG doesn't choke much and French were class last year in pack as Harinordoquy was (and still is) a class act and did so much for them that rest of their pack were a little bit on arm-chair ride at times.

And Ginger I suppose so you'll have French jersey on when they play England so since you always support them :)

Metaphorically speaking?

I know you were being sarcastic.

I just saw it as an excuse to post a photograph of Scottish Rugbys finest moment in the past 10 years!

Ginger my view of English Rugby has radically changed, "défoncer les rosbifs" had always been my number one priority at the time of the 5/6N and while I was still playing rugger. Nowadays it's no more as important as it used to be, it's my second priority only. :p

Last weekend I cheered for England, can you believe it? In the past the remembrance of the Welsh 70's side would have automatically brought my support to the Red team, but I think the many comments comming from Ireland and Wales made my mind to evolve. English Rugby supporters are much more humble and most of them are nice blokes.

The Ireland team has been confirmed with Stephen Ferris passed fit. Sean O'Brien remains on the bench as Kevin McLaughlin drops out of the 22. Johnny Sexton is fit to take his place on the bench as Andrew Trimble also drops out of the 22.
