England tour of Argentina

Have you people watched Jaguares lately? or at least Pumas last November?... we suck, England's going to take two wins here.

Agree that I'd prefer Daly at 15 than the wing, but he's barely any recent experience there either. He's good enough that he needs to be crowbarred in somewhere but fullback carries way more responsibility than 11/14.

FFS Taylor this was going to be your time to shine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

True. Singleton is just a bad, bad choice for me. He wasn't even good at U20 level and should be nowhere near test rugby. Unbelievably, he'll probably finish this tour with more caps than Taylor which is just ridiculous.

Haywood, McGuigan or even Webber would have been much better choices IMO. This one is a real WTF for me.

guess who 's been ruled out due to injury? ?
yes montero!! what the f...?

So TT is out which sucks but what happened to Luke cowan-dickie?

When's the first test?
My predicted team for it:
1. Genge
2. Hartley (c)
3. Collier (Wouldn't be surprised by Williams, hope it's Williams)
4. Launchbury
5. Ewels (Could see Isiekwe snatching this)
6. Robshaw
7. Underhill
8. Hughes
9. Care
10. Ford
11. May
12. Slade
13. James
14. Solomona (Earle could well take it from either wing)
15. Brown

16. Singleton (Wow.)
17. Mullan
18. Williams
19. Isiekwe
20. Ben Curry
21. Armand
22. Maunder
23. Lozowski

Lozowski wasn't too badly injured in the last game then?

I wonder if one of the Currys might overtake underhill,
For my money the only thing he has over them is size and a bit more experience.
Hopefully one or both of them gets some gametime anyway.

Hopefully Earle gets a starting spot, too. He was my MOTM vs Barbarians

Tests are the 10th and 17th June ftr.

If they go with a 6/2 split we will see both Currys on the bench right? If you pick one you may as well pick the other.

Eddie Jones said Singleton really impressed him, wouldn't be surprised if he got a cap.

I'm sure Solomona and Earle will both play, so either on test each or one for May.

Why would you put 2 specialist 7s on the bench?

Jones seems to be a big fan of Underhill so expect he'll give him another opportunity in the starting shirt. Agree that Earle deserves a starting spot but Jones is also a big fan of Solomona so if fit I'd be surprised if he doesn't start. And although I think it should be the case, I can't see Earle starting over May.

I agree with your starting XV. Collier vs. Williams is arguably the closest battle and I think Collier probably played well enough in the Barbarians game to keep the shirt. I guess it well depend on how much of an upgrade Eddie feels Williams is outside of the scrum.

Bench-wise, I'm really not sure if we'll go 6/2 again? It feels like Eddie is prioritising experimenting with the forwards so I could definitely see it, but the Barbarians game underlined the risk of only having two backs on the bench.

Maunder is a certainty on the bench with one of either Lozowski, Devoto or Mallinder taking the 23 shirt. I guess it just depends on whether Eddie wants to try Armand/Wilson or Earle/Cokanasiga.

I'm interested to see who EJ wants to try out of Wilson and Armand. I think Armand's been the from player over the last couple of years but Wilson has age on his side. It won't matter too much as I can't see either breaking into the 1st team but interesting none the less.

Wilson or Armand would be hard pressed to get in to the first XV but I think a good tour (even off the pitch) for either or both could see them leapfrog Wood and other back rowers who have failed to convince like Harrison, Clifford etc.

The 6N showed that Robshaw doesn't have an obvious understudy and both are able to do a good job of covering 6 and 8 which makes them good bench options.

Haskell's also not immune. He's older and increasingly injury prone and the Lions tour might turn out to be his last hurrah IMO.

I thought one was a 6 and one was a 7 at sale? So a 6/2 could easily have a isekwe and the curry twins as our bench and tbh id like to see it ben and tom coming on at 50 min taking off robshaw cos we dont need to see what he can do. But am i wrong or is 1 a 6 and 1 a 7?

I wouldn't be too surprised if Eddie's thinking of starting Robshaw with Underhill, then switching SU to blindside when Curry comes on.

Both are 7s but sometimes at Sale one will play 6 for the sake of having both on the pitch. Both are clearly 7s though.
