England to only pick home-based players from 2011

Though I don't know about a replacement for Palmer, who've we got to be the lineout captain? Attwood is the obvious replacement, but neither him nor Lawes are really lineout specialists

Palmer in the short term (till after the WC) then it'll likely be that Gaskell is rushed through the system.

Wilkinson and Haskell are replaceable, Palmer as well though less easily so.
I'd like to see Attwood in with Gaskell/ Kennedy/ Blaze (when back from injury) on the bench. Croft can handle the lineout captaincy, and the others will have to learn to be lifted.
I think with young players, rather than looking for a replacement who's good in lineouts, we should be training them to do the job.
I mean, there are enough people who could be lifted atm, we just need to sort it out properly.

Even if we did have injuries to Flood and Hodgson, I'd rather a younger guy was brought through anyway

Ha did you read offical statement. Just read it there and well it seems like only a threat. Sure England fans want best players regardless
