England future management?

Or
Lund

Lund a-ah
Savior of England
Lund a-ah
He'll tackle every one them

(Seemingly there is no reason for these extraordinary International rugby upsets)
(Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha)
(What's happening Lund?)
(Only David Seymour, formerly at Saracens now sale, has provided any explanation)

Lund a-ah
He's a miracle

(This morning's unprecedented England knock out is no cause for alarm)

Lund a-ah
King of the impossible

He'll turnover everyone of them
He'll smash everyone of them
He tackle with a mighty hand
Every prop, every lock
Every Back, with a mighty
Lund

(General Farrell, Magnus Lund approaching.)
(What do you mean Magnus Lund approaching? Open fire! All Players! Dispatch League Center Burgess to bring back the ball)

Lund a-ah
(Magnus is alive!)

Lund a-ah
He'll tackle everyone of them.

Just a man
With a man's courage
You know he's
Nothing but a man
And he can never fail
No one but the pure at heart
May find the Webb Ellis
...Oh..Oh........Oh..Oh....

(Lund, Lund, I love you, but we only have fourteen hours to save the English rugby!)

Edwards' contract with Wales runs out in 2 weeks time. Would people be interested in having him on board?

I think we'd be daft to miss this opportunity to snap him up. It's a shame if we miss out on him purely due to the timing of the review. I'm not sure why Wales haven't already tied him down; unless they have tried and he is scouting out his options before making a decision? But reports seem to indicate that Gatland is being given a decision as to whether an extension is offered to Edwards. It seems strange, because defence has been the strongest facet of Wales' play for as long as I remember. You'd think they'd be begging Edwards to stay. (Perhaps his Lions omission has bothered him as much as was rumoured?)

This is another problem with these management speak panels and reviews.

The report will recommend whatever you want it to recommend anyway, but meanwhile everything is on hold.

He doesn't want to be involved in the pro game anymore.
He's had several job offers over the years but Fylde is as high up as he wants to go.

mcgeechan, probably the most overated coach the biggest cnut until a certain stu3rd blandwankre appeared, conor o shea sitting nicely in the chasing pack for these accolades..........wait a minute, there a pattern here

i was absolutely amazed that he was chosen to coach the British and Irish Lions in 2009.

Right, so the World cup morons club has just found a new leader.

One thought that occurred as I was ambling into work this morning is that both SCW and Cheika have been very successful in business away from the game. Joe Schmidt was a headmaster which is pretty much akin to running a business these days.

Does this kind of broader leadership experience help? He that only rugby knows and all that.

Graham Henry was of course a headmaster as well.

To be honest I tend to think what those people have in common - is just a prolonged period of time actually away from the game as a player. I find it a little puzzling that there is an assumption that being a good rugby player will translate to being a good coach. Often clubs try to keep their older players involve by transitioning them into coaching type roles, but being a head coach of a big club (never mind the national team) I think requires experience at the lower levels, gaining success, and then moving to the next tier and doing it again - until you work your way up.

As an example of some NZ coaches

Years retired from playing rugby:

Wayne Smith - 1985
Steve Hansen - 1987
Robbie Deans - 1990
Dave Rennie - 1991
Michael Cheika - 1997

All these coaching have achieved success with club teams after year of coaching experience. I worry for a guy like Tana Umaga who is now coaching the Blues; despite not retiring that long ago. But even he has more coaching experience than many in the England National team.

rugby union is littered with rugby league players and coaches. Get your own coaches and players i say! You attract our players through their pockets and i have no idea how you can even afford to with the appalling crowds you lot get at club games. Listen to the names you have stolen over the years from wigan - henry paul, andy farrell, jason robinson, shaun edwards, owen farrell, joel tompkins, chris ashton, tuigamala. The game is a joke, forward passes go unnoticed more often than not as do knock on's - you only actually play on average about 35 minutes of rugby from 80 minutes due to silly stoppages where as rugby league is 62 mins from 80. And well to top it off you couldn't even make it out of the group stages with all the money you have spent building up to and during the world cup. Have you ever wondered why hardly any union players come to league? It's because we don't want them!!! And more importantly they are not good enough or tough enough to handle the pressures of league fact!

fiction!
