England 6N 2016 - General Chit Chat

Really? Because no-one else seems to understand this rule until it's actively been used and so far it hasn't. So if you would like to enlighten us in this case, please do.

As far as I'm concerned it's speculation until confirmed.

What about Tom Palmer?

And you just made my brain hurt by suggesting that Morgan is in with a shout of getting in the squad. Have you heard of a player called Nathan Hughes?

You just made my brain hurt suggesting taking a player who qualifies for England two days after the final test on tour!

Being unnecessarily arrogant and confrontational is fun!

Pretty good, I think, he managed okay against North and Nadolo. He is quite a bit bigger than Nowell too, and he has a lot more pace if he makes a mistake with his positioning.

Are you sure. According to this article:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/pa...pect-England-meeting-Eddie-Jones-demands.html

Nowell has bulked up by 10kg recently. If Watson is the same weight as he was when the RFU last updated their website, then Nowell is actually 2kg heavier than Watson. Watson is a couple of inches taller though.

On a slight tangent - anyone else come away from the tournament seeing Billy as a possibly captain? Not necessarily long term, but for a series or for a one off game, which I certainly wouldn't have predicted prior to the tournament.

Not for me, if it doesn't sound odd for such a monster he's too placid. We're constantly being told that Jones had to put his arm around him and that he goes a lot better when his brother's around. Not knocking him for that, we're all different, but those aren't leadership traits. And with Hughes coming on the scene his place will be far from guaranteed. Kruis on the other hand looks like he could step up.

Damn what is with all these negative waves i'm feeling

and i take my Gym seriously bro, don't joke about it.

Quite funny seeing scrum V, no mention at all of the Ireland-Scotland game and they spent longer discussing a possible Marler ban than England winning the grand slam. In fact their only mention of it was "well done England for winning the grand slam after the world cup failure". That was it. That programme is such a joke.

It wasn't negative. I was rubbing my thighs furiously as I typed that with my tongue. You're still loony tho.

Not sure (with respect) what you expected

I thought Martyn and Jiffy's comments were perfectly fair to be honest... don't really know what you expect - as I said before, it's a Welsh rugby program, and as such is primarily focussed on Welsh rugby.

True but every episode they would show the other games that were played and would talk about them. That one they completely ignore one game and only made passing mention of the fact a grand slam had happened.

Like I say, it's a Welsh rugby program about Welsh rugby, it makes no claim to be anything else - it's their wont to ignore whatever they feel like and focus on things they want to.

Apparently their Dad wanted them to play for Wales but they straight up said no, said their rugby development was in England and they felt more English than Welsh.

I've heard that their dad told them they would have more chance of winning the World Cup with England than Wales so they should play for England .

It's not a real program I admit. It's like a wartime propaganda piece.
They actually spoke about the Marler incident as much as they talked about England ( having talked about the Marler incident more than about england the previous week as well)
It makes Wales look blinkered and unbearably salty BUT

I gather it's not representative of Welsh views generally
and as ratsapprentice said, it's their program. They do what they want.
