Martin is injured. Im not sure why he is in England contention. He just hasn't played enough for Tigers
Thought I read he was back for the six nations. As I said I just thought he brings a better lineout operator but if he's out then Hill is certainly in good form. Our flanker stock isn't exactly lacking quality or depth.

Ted Hill is in top class form uncompromising physicality and mobile with a big workrate...exactly what Borthwick wants.
We played bath last week and he was absolutely top class....and his lineout is excellent..

Funnily enough we're crying out for a beast of a lock...Mr Attwood is aging like a fine wine...

Surely the coaches just work with the players they're given? Given the choice Mako might not be his first pick but it's who he has to work with.
I was making the Sarries link and, given how well he knows him, wondering whether Peel would advocate Mako or want to steer clear if given the option. Specialist coaches presumably have some input into selection.

Imagine Hill and Underhill in the same backline.
Not sure either would solve our centre problems. Earl for me. 😀

Read that Coka has turned down some big money offers from France to stay with Bath and be in Eng contention.

Imagine Hill and Underhill in the same backline. As well as the literally seconds of fun because of the surnames, that is some seriously uncompromising tackling ability.
I'd rather see them in the same backrow than backline TBH
And as Bath fans, we don't need to imagine it

As I said I wouldn't mind either it was a split choice, if Lawes is fit and available though then surely he locks down 6 for 6ns and WC. Attwood I just can't see it happening, pity J. Hill just hasn't shown his promise at international level, silly mistakes and really hasn't shown the same scrummaging ability from the 2nd row as he does for Sale. He would still be a backup option as atm we just don't really have the depth but we do really need to work on the right TH lock partner for Maro

Aw I wasn't really advocating Attwood...just pointing out how well he's playing at his age he must 35 isn't he?

Just watching rhe Saracens game and Itoje is just cruising at the moment...and Tizzard just looks off the pace completely. He's certainly not putting his hand up un front of SB and KS.

I think Ribbans will be pushing for a start.

Farrell trying very hard to end the debate about where he plays in the 6N...

To be fair, Farrell's playing really well at the moment, it's just the "noo-wrap shoulder to the head" he needs to cut out.
