Surely Steward at 15
With a new coach, who knows
I'd stick with Steward but if they really like the look of the wing options they might stick Watson at 15

Be interesting to see what happens with Tigers with all their back options fit, what with Watson playing 15 there atm

I like Murley. Apart from the fact he's really, really, really short. Doesn't play in Black, Green and Gold and is not called Freeman.

Steward is class and developing all the time. You can see the improvements in his attacking....
No way would he be dropped for Watson.

So you have a brick wall full back who lacks a bit of pace but gives you a different variety of attack. So pick two wingers who can compliment him. One would be an out and out gas merchant (Arundel or Radwan or Watson)...the other...well its nice to have options.

I do like Freeman...but i rate Murley, OHC, Sleightholme, Loader, Thorley etc all so highly also.

The new guy has some very difficult decisions to make...

While options are great, we really need players in several positions to make the coach's life easy by making an unanswerable case for selection by sheer weight of performance.

How about Steward to 12😉

Tigers full backline would be
9. Youngs
10. Pollard
11. Watson
12. Kelly
13. Porter
14. Potter
15. Steward

21. JVP
22. Burns/Atkinson
23. Scott

So Young will continue to start for england
Not while Gus Warr still draws breath

Barnes writing that Earl could be England solution to 12.
Times paywall.

How's Sam Hill getting on at sale? Average prem 12 could maybe do a job for England?
Not a chance,
At his very best he's been just about OK at prem level for us. Don't know if his repeated, serious, injuries have played a big part in that because I was a big fan of his at Chiefs

Dan Kelly should walk into this England side without trying tbh, he's comfortably the best option we have there - plus Borthwick knows him/obviously likes him as he very quickly became first choice for Tigers

Have to admire Tigers for announcing Wiggles worth as head coach before theRFU's announcement...

Is Wigs the first ever to have been both a player and a head coach in the same season? I'd be surprised if it's been done before.
Cant wait for te HC to announce himself as the starting 9 for the 6N when JVP and Youngs are away haha.
