DC aiming for the Big money in Europe after the RWC

Another, NH vs SH thread?
Lol..
I gotta add my ten cents. Riki Flutey handled it well over there. Actually, he made the England side..

This is Dan Carter we're talking about, The BEST first five in the world and when Flutey was playing in NZ, he was like, the last choice first five for New Zealand.

My point is, Daniel Carter is so much better than Flutey and if he can make it into England's top team. He must have been alright playing over there.

Jeez Flutey was struggling to stay in the Hurricanes starting line up

No, it's a morons versus people who know DC is a pretty damn good player thread. The fact that you got so offended and had to have a go at England for starting Flutey hints at a lack of confidence in your own ability perhaps? :D

Anyway, Carter is class, and will be wherever he plays ('cept when against Leinster obv.)

Damn straight we don't want to see another meat fest please! Since when has Flutey got anything to do with Dan Carter?

Since it was brought up that Carter won't be able to handle NH rugby because it's so foward orientated and slower ball to the five eight meaning he will get hammered. Which is why I brought up Flutey, someone who handled the NH rugby scene very well and wasn't that good at all in the SH rugby scene.

Lack of confidence in my own ability = No
Lack of confidence in Leinster = Maybe
Lack of confidence in England = Damn right.

people are jumping the gun here, im saying that he has a pretty good platform to work with the all blacks that gives him time and space put him behind a NH club pack with a backline with no threats outside him i think its reasonable to suggest he might struggle unless he changed his game and therefore isnt worth 1.2 million big ones

Eh? What you on about?

Dizzys the one who just made it NH vs SH (or at least is trying his very best to insult NH rugby)
All that happened before was that people said that the SH tend to have a quicker paced game, meaning the FH is less likely to get munched, as the ball's gone so quickly

Grinds my gears when it gets a little silly about NH vs. SH!

Sorry to dissapoint you Olyy but I definitely wasn't trying my "very best to insult NH rugby."
That is far from being an attempt to insult the NH game actually.
And "all that happened before" wasn't that people said the SH tend to have a quicker paced game. The opinions I read were
"Dan might struggle in Europe"
"Will Carter survive the NH game not saying he has faults but the physical demands are more intense"

No indication there of the SH game having a quicker paced game, Just praising the NH game to be more intense than the SH game. So I thought I'd bring these people back to reality.

I think Dan might struggle in Europe but well his destination will probably be south of France although maybe Adidas will help Munster accomodate him. We will try fit him in somewhere :)

Heres the culprit/instigator..munstermuffin. This was the small ice slip before the NH vs SH avalanche. I thought many thought of Dan Carter as one of the best in the WOOORRLLDD, Europe is part of the world. Oh well, maybe everytime munstermuffin see's DC he's gettin injured.

Yes munstermuffin you can call me a tell-***, snitch or nark:bleh!::lol:

haha..i dont think any All Black has ever struggled in Europe

Sorry folks. You have jumped on Dizzy here with little or no justification; the point he makes is a valid one, and so is bringing up Riki Flutey.

The argument was that DC is used to playing behind dominant pack with dangerous backs on his left and right, but he might not find it so easy in the NH with less room to move.

Dizzy argues, and I agree, that if Riki Flutey (who in his time in NZ would have ranked 5th or 6th behind Carter) has managed to excel under this pressure to a sufficient extent that he beats half a dozen other English born players into a starting spot for England, then why would Carter not be able to cope also?

I see noting in Dizzy's comment that "slag off" NH rugby, nor do I see any indication of "willy waving" in his posts in this thread.

he would be useless in france cos he doesnt kick dropgoals

That is just about the dumbest thing I have read so far in this thread!!

Christan Cullen struggled and Carter might be good but he isn't as good as before and well he won't be in a team as dominant as All Blacks

Yeah Culley wasnt the same player he was before he left NZ for Munster. To me his Rugby aged faster than himself.

Many players that leave NZ to play in the NH, IMO go there to retire. Most of them are kind of expired when they leave NZ, with all due respect. They just sign up for some good money and then come back home.

I think if Dan Carter played over there or anywhere he'd go good. If he was eligable for Ireland it'll be goodbye O'Gara IMO.

tongue in cheek there, an obvious reference to the fact that the t14 was a drop goal feast a couple of years back..... super sensitive kiwis never happy

Well David Holwell did alright for Leinster in 2005 and again in 2008. Picked up a few "player of the month" awards too. Holwell has never even appeared on the National selector's radar.
