He said it'd undermine the peace process, it's there to protect it because everyone knows he and his Tory mates don't care one iota about it...

Sorry should clarify explain why we don't need it that isn't utter bullcrap.

The whole No-Deal, EU don't want to negotiate and anti-democratic rhetoric is all just to ensure that Brexit supports blame the EU for the situation

What I still find ridiculous is that we keep expecting the E.U to come up with solutions. Boris is saying to the E.U we need a new deal without the backstop, but offers no solution to bridge the gap. We chose to leave so it should be our responsibility to come up with the solutions, though it's been clear since day 1 that no one actually had a ******* clue what to do in the event of a successful Brexit vote.

The backstop is our solution BTW not the EU's it was best May team could come up that was feasibly possible to prevent a hard border in NI.

But I suppose its anti-democratic what ever da f that means.

Apparently the commitment is to solve it with technical solutions over the transition period and if they are not in place by the end of the transition period then the UK is "ready to look constructively and flexibly at what commitments might help". The issue is it depends who you believe, most experts saying the technology is not ready for at least another decade or our wonderfully honest politicians, who wouldn't dare mislead us, who say it is ready now.

Massive government drive to implement new technology in a very short time span. I'm so glad we have a history of incredible competence in all large technology systems that immediately work as planned in the time frame given with no cost overrunning at all.

'Technology' which will be massive overbudget, late and not work as required.

Y'know like every other technology project ever done.

TBF a lot of it is down to project management and requirements gathering. We actually do have hugely talented technical workforces that get completely screwed over on delivering things properly. Oh yeah and they don't get listened to what they say 'thats not technically possible'

Yeah this country is **** for over trusting the judgement of managers in areas they know nothing and severely underestimating the judgement of those who have plenty of knowledge and experience.

It's like melchett from Blackadder. Military strategy doesn't matter, just shouting.

To be fair - they're being set up to fail a little, what with, you know, the fact that the technology doesn't actually exist.

Swinson really doing all she can to ruin the good will the Lib Dems have been building up

For stating what most remainers believe Corbyn to be again?

Look I'm not happy we are sniping at him instead of a more conciliatory tone but Swinson isn't really saying anything controversial. Unless you're a Labour/Corbyn supporter who seam to be the only ones really offended by this stuff.

She said he never campaigned for remain, which is a lie. There's no two ways around it.

She didnt say that though

She said he didn't 'fight' and honestly that was most peoples perception he put in a lackluster attempt, never appeared to lead from the front and certainly considering his years of opposition to the EU many suspect voted Leave. His leadership on this matter over the past 3 years has also been one fence sitting and avoidence.

So yes I absolutely agree with Jo he has never fought for remain. I do believe he will fight against no deal.

We just need "alternative arrangements".

They'll definitely work.

Meh, countless remain rallies in and repeated calls for a second referendum.

She's more interested in causing division amongst remainers than realistically effecting change.

Tory bootlicker, and nothing more.
