A Political Thread pt. 2

Tiktok chose to go the hard way and totally disconnected the US so now they can't see or post anything. Now it's up to trump to make his uturn.

Richard Tice of Reform is to be splitting his time between the UK and Dubai as he is looking to move out there. So we have a Reform MP who spends his time across multiple jobs (including in the media and advising foreign companies on how to skirt UK regulations) and is always out in the USA without having a single surgery in his constituency, and now another who seems he won't even be living in the country any more despite being an MP!

But sure, these guys REALLY care about the average UK voter and are different from the current lot in their ivory towers... I swear at this stage the people who support these clowns actually get a kick out of being treated like the ******* mugs that they are.

listened to a podcast a few weeks ago where they interviewed a former I.C.E director, he said with the current infrastructure they could deport 100k people in the first 30 days...he said if trump ramps things up then he could do over 1M in the first 100 days...the question he asked is what does deporting 1M mostly (because alot send money back to their families) working age people do to your economy, because as much as some might want to claim they are taking the jobs of Americans, the reality is they will mostly have been doing the jobs that americans didn't want to do...or at very least not for the money americans would have done them

It's not a million miles away from Brexit albeit it sounds like this will be more disorderly. The UK had no fruit pickers and a shortage of labourers etc. after it left the EU because Brits didn't want those jobs due to them being more physically demanding.

It's generally accepted that an effective and targeted immigration policy (with net inward migration) will see a country's economy grow and help boost GDP.

Some proper nutjobs speaking at Trump's pre inauguration rally just now.

I'm just reaching the TV series Rome, the machinations and plotting on that makes today's politicians look like rank amateurs.
