Wow.... I need a new phone but you got there @TRF_Olyy. She's an absolute awful tan. Also food is a weird one as we're pretty near the top in the world for food security I think

If the Tories want to replicate an atrocity that would actually hold water today why not try murdering everyone in Drogheda again?
Wtf, doesn't she realise the Irish learnt from the potato famine and have included turnips on their farms.
On a serious note, I was going to raise another point which is the idiots who say, 'I was unsure, but after seeing how badly the E.U has treated Britain, I would vote leave.'
First of all, why the **** did you ever think the E.U would not look after it's own interests. Oh they should give us a fair deal...why? Of course they were going to do what was in the interest of their remaining members, which clearly wasn't us. All it has come across as is us whining that they should give us a fair deal because we are in a weaker position. Secondly, if the shoe was on the other foot and we were dictating terms to the E.U, our newspapers and the people would be praising it to high heaven. 'Look how Britain stands up for it's citizens etc...' Finally the fact that we threaten other countries when our own country is so dependent on trade is ludicrous. Apparently Gove didn't quit because he was convinced that if we left with no deal, we would run out of clean water, because the chemicals to clean it are imported from Europe. Yes we also sell cars they need, but the parts to build those cars come from Europe and are so time dependent that any delay at the border would collapse production.
So Priti Patel can **** off and learn exactly what is at stake, because we need Europe far more than they need us.
Ireland had and have plenty of other crops and livestock. What Ms. Patel doesn't realise is there'd more likely be a food shortage in the UK because we export a **** tonne of food there and Westminster can't force us to export like they did in 1845 because the country isn't dirt poor anymore!
But sure look, making idle threats which immediately remind everyone of what is widely considered as a deliberate act of genocide by the UK on the Irish might just keep the woman her seat next time elections come around with the current state of the nation.
I think you've summed up exactly how the rest of Europe see the brexis negotiations. We're bewildered at the UK's bewilderment that the EU won't give them an easy ride!
Rudd championing the Norway plus option should May's deal be rejected on Tuesday. Although reading it won't be that easy to get other EEA nations to agree for UK to join.
If Theresa May's deal is bad then surely Norway plus is worse. That would still mean freedom of movement. At this point Britain and the E.U are so far apart I honestly don't think it can be reconciled. We want all the trade with none of the draw backs. I'll give credit to May at least she is being honest when she says that the negotiations require compromise, the Brexiteer MP's and voters seem to think that unless we get a deal that benefits Britain completely we should just leave with nothing and go sign trade deals elsewhere.
It really irks me when the likes of JRM, Davies, BoJo etc. talk about this fantasy Brexit i.e. getting the best of all worlds (ending free movement while retaining tariff free access to the single market and being able to sign trade deals) and many leave voters just don't get how much of a fantasy it is.
If the people were asked to vote on leaving/remaining in the EU then I don't see how the same shouldn't apply to something as major as joining the EEA.
They've already said it will never happen. Apparently they specifically told the Tories that it was not on the table when the referendum happened, and nothing has changed since.Although reading it won't be that easy to get other EEA nations to agree for UK to join.

So is that a no.....

I can't personally remember the EEA option even being mentioned pre referendum, only now reading about Norway senior MPs being against it and would veto UK wanting to rejoin the EEA. If that is the case and it is looking increasingly like May will lose on Tuesday then it's back to May tinkering with the terms and coming back to Parliament within 14 days. If again rejected then I can't see her lasting to the end of December. All bets are off the table then and we're looking at vote of no confidence in her leadership. The next month really is a big test Parliament and whether it is fit for purpose.
I have a funny feeling that they won't reach the 48 letter target or that she'll survive the vote which would mean she'd be safe for another 12 months. There is no obvious alternative and I just don't see the likes of BoJo or David Davies beating her. I think the EU will refuse to budge and we're looking at a second referendum to break the deadlock as she knows a GE is too risky.
In the case of Brexit, the hidden complexity concerned:
— Leave, and adopt an EFTA or WTO framework?
— Leave, while the UK remains intact or while it splits up?
— Remain, in what manner?
