They've taken lying so far that they will lie about the lie all within one interview... I'm actually astonished at how none of these people have any shame or self-respect. The look on the Dutch guys face at the end says it all.

IIRC we were rather busy dealing with Napoleon at the time, so it's just about possible we weren't fully concentrating

Same reason that we changed to Burgundy I'm the first place (it was never an ECC requirement - came 100% from Parliament, but hey, now we've taken back control we can do these things)

They are only changing as they are being renewed the same as when they changed the colour before

They should probably be focusing on important things at this stage of the process rather than a colour.

I just get angry when this was a supposed victory for 'Brexit' there are far more important thing to be worried about than the colour of our passports. Even more so as it turns out it was never a European mandate.

If we are leaving the EU because 1 in 50 people are so idiotic to base it on colour of the passport I utterly despair. I have no attachment to blue passports I've never had blue one, I was originally on my Dad's (it was black) then I got Burgandy one. I've had a passport most of my life the colour I don't give a damn. It's ability to let me into European country's with ease I care far more about.

People aren't getting upset by the colour, they're getting upset about how the change is being used as a pathetic Point scoring exercise to make tabloid readers all teary-eyed and to make us forget how much of a mess everything else has been. Also, we're still a european country so why bother.

Not gonna lie, I always get jealous of Europeans at the airport. The burgundy is much more appealing.
