Any democrat winning is a huge result.

Thank the blacks for voting sense here. Demographic split here is still terrifying, even if the result was good. Republican turnout wasn't as good as expected from what I heard, whereas I suppose dem voters smelled blood and got out to vote, where they'd normally expect surefire Republican win.
The fact that anyone can spout their Christian values while also supporting pedo scum like Moore is just too ridiculous. Just look at the intellect on his chief campaigner (absolutely priceless death by words here by the CNN anchor)

Right how the hell do morons like Moore's chief Campaigner get taken seriously in a modern, Western country? If he was a politician in the UK he would be laughed at so much people would probably pay to hear him speak just for shits and giggles. Yet in America he is considered normal.

The message is that Democrats need to start focusing on their base; blacks and the industrial working class.

Black Americans saved our ass last night and that's cause Doug Jones actually gave a crap about appealing to them which Hillary didn't do.

If they go back to their actual base and stop trying to go after Republicans, they can just watch the GOP eat itself.

You could just see the tumbleweed blowing through his head when the CNN anchor told him that the law did not say you had to swear on the bible to Take an oath of office. What a complete Tool!!!

Guess we're heading for a hard Brexit then.

Nailed on - Rees-Mogg and that bloke who drinks pints (can't quite recall his name - Nigel somebody) to lead the country from 2019.

Why? Surely this means we're headed to a softer brexit now?
Every part of the leaving paper has to be voted on rather than may putting forth a yes or no vote on the whole lot.

We could still leave with no deal in place, and if May is seen as week/ineffective there could be a shift within the Tories to the right thereby jeopardising her position and putting a Leaver such as Gove or Rees-Mogg in charge of the Tories.

Besides, the EU Parliament has to agree on the Leaving Paper and they could well block or veto it.

It's far from an easy ride.

To be fair, Rees-Mogg would be a substantial improvement on May (not that that would be difficult) in every regard. Looking past the stereotypical posh boy persona, he speaks a lot of sense on these matters.

Actually Rees-Mogg speaks very little sense and represents a further shift towards nationalism/authotarianism and has very outraged views on abortions and gay rights.

His posh persona allows him to get away with it like Boris' buffoon persona did for many years.

May isn't much better but marginally more so. Her main failure is she's thoroughly incompetent.

Maybe a case of 'better the devil we know' then (even if she does resemble Cruella De Vil).

Meanwhile Trump scores a victory (of sorts) against Net Neutrality. The FCC repealed it.
Well it still has to go through the courts and will probably receive serious scrutiny. Isn't it funny how in America if you call bribery lobbying it becomes acceptable to become a nasty shill piece of dirt? What a ridiculous precedent.
Look at FCC chief Pai trying to mislead and pander to a demographic that is completely wise to what a scumbag he is. He talks about all the things you'll still be able to do after net neutrality without mentioning that it will cost a lot more than it does now. Very glad not to be an American today.

Well hold on..hes not a favorite of mine as Im not into devil dodgers but what has he actually said around gay rights and abortion? Watching one interview he simply said he personally follows the teachings of his church BUT he doesnt judge others who don't. Thats a lot different from someone who says "I have my religious beliefs and if you don't have the same ones your a sinner whos going to burn in the bowls of hell!"

Looking at the latest news from the EU, talks will not start for months and a trade deal will be done under art 218 not art 50. That means not QMV but veto. Plus the agreement so far must be in law first.

NO DEAL is looking to hit 90% certainty.

He can hide behind his religion if he wants but he can still be judged to be a **** by any rational person.
Repeatedly voting against equal rights for everyone is just ridiculous.

In the same interview he implied he'd vote against further equality legislation and reverse legislation if he was given a chance.

Right so he doesn't follow the prevailing opinion on gay marriage. Should people only be allowed to have certain opinions now? Is he calling for gay's to be thrown from buildings or thrown in prison? No, it's against his beliefs but he tolerates it. That's what a tolerance means.
