A Political Thread pt. 2

The Daily Beast lolololololol.

They are the handicap cousin of the Daily Mail.

Love how people just attack the news source if it conflicts with their opinion.
I'm pretty sure it counts as an ad hominem.
I guess it's all you've got left when you can't attack the information itself.

I mean, he's also not wrong that the Daily Beast is hardly the world's most reliable source - but it's also hardly the only source for this story

There are disreputable news sources out there I don't read tabloid journalism for instance (The Mirror or The Sun) but will pay attention if they break a story that other journalists then pick up.

It's a form of deflection and in turn divides. Devalue the sources that don't agree with them to make others doubt it. It's classic Trump tactic with his whole "Fake News" and in turn promote his own misinformation.

Yeah but we all share that prejudice to a degree. It does come through a lot these days with the antivax, antiwoke, pro Putin crowd who absolutely will not expect a mainstream source and will mock you for using them where as they consider random weirdo on YouTube a reliable source simply because they agree with them.

This is a classic about newspapers British oriented.

Unfortunately outdated due to the demise of page 3.

Your media is awful. You've imported our cultural war BS and we imported your ragebait editors.
You do the best TV shows and make best movies but your TV news media is objectively ****. The BBC, for all its flaws, absolutely shits over any American TV news outlet. You lot just seem so geared towards entertainment rather than actually informing your people. It's bonkers.
