The crown looks like ****, it's gotta be said

Like it's all glamorous and that inside a display case but when it's sat on Charlie's bonce it looks comical, it's so tall and that purple velvet interior doesn't help

Who's the woman in blue and does she have a thing for middle aged dad's who like Rugby? Asking for a friend....

Step 1 in modernizing the monarchy should be updating the garb. Make the crown just a really fancy pair of cufflinks. Instead of capes just give them really flamboyant designer suits.

Currently in the UK:

Arrested before going to an organised protest against an unelected monarch.

Sitting MP:

If you don't like the unelected monarch, leave the country.

🤦‍♂️
That is why she is the Culture Secretary. Apparently she's a Barrister - KC.

Lee is also a huge fan of not letting people emigrate of course.
I used to have that right, with a choice of 27 countries; now I have to satisfy a variety of different criteria which I probably won't.

Not to mention that this is supposed to be a free country where you're allowed to have different opinion to Lee.

If Labour won't back PR and it turns out SNP will hold the balance of power in any Hung Parliament then that's just gonna play straight back into Rishi and the Tories hands at the next election.
Pretty much, coalition of chaos and all that rolled out again. Didn't Labour already say they wouldn't do deals with the SNP?

Even though I understand the point she is very poorly trying to make, it's still ********. Inflation is still outstripping pay rises so if it is only 7% next year for example and pay rises by 4%, that is STILL a real terms rise of costs of 3%, ie not an increase in spending power. Tories and the BoE have repeatedly been pushing for below inflation level pay rises, how the **** do they expect peoples relative spending power to increase if taxes rise and inflation outstrips pay increases?

These people are morons or worse, maliciously attempting to **** the country over for the benefit of a few. There is no way they can be called economically competent. The bar is so low that Sunak merely not catastrophically ******* everything up is deemed to be the model of economic prudence...

Also amazing how many people like Lee love to spout about "rights" when it suits them but cannot wait to suppress the rights of others. The very idea that we have morons like him who genuinely believe that in a modern, liberal democracy, anyone who has a different opinion about how the country should be run should leave is staggering. Full on Daily Heil attitude right there. I don't recall us telling all the Europhobes to leave the country and leave the EU rather than dragging all of us out instead...

Yep, but it's the perception among English voters that they could hold sway that lost Labour the 2015 GE IIRC that the Tories would exploit again.

I'm still worried that too many people voted against the Tories rather than voting for parties they wanted. I'm not sure how much of Labour's support comes from their policies and people supporting them and the fact that they are the best bet of getting rid of the Tories.

Problem is these types of voters are very fickle and not loyal and it would only take one bad parliamentary term from Labour for them to rush back to the Tories and we know Tories need less votes to get into power.

Sadly yes.

And Starmer would do best to remember not to give a victory style speech and repeat the mistake Kinnock did way back in 1992. Rishi has been said to be similar to Major.

Definitely see many similarities.
