Aye,If republicans hadn't (Well very likely to win now TBH) performed in the senate, I feel the DOP might have been a lot more active in ****.
But with them most likely getting the senate and how quiet they are I think it says all you need to know about Trumps chances of overturning this.
He'll also win the popular vote by miles. He's already about 4 million ahead with 8% of ballots still to count most of which are mail in.Reading that AP have also called Nevada for Biden. And projected to win 306; same as Trump in 2016 who called his a landslide win at the time. But Biden will also win popular vote.
Hell, most of which are California and New York mail-in!He'll also win the popular vote by miles. He's already about 4 million ahead with 8% of ballots still to count most of which are mail in.
It's a bit like for my generation knowing I was taught at school under section 28. It's seams almost madness that was only repealed in 2003 (when I started University).I'm always surprised how recently the civil rights movement was.
When Kamala Harris was born, people of colour weren't allowed to vote
As much as America likes to portray itself as the world leader in liberty, democracy, freedom etc... the reality is it is still a very conservative and prejudiced country. There are huge swathes of America where racism is not prevalent, but open and unapologetic. Fundamentalist Christians and Evangelicals still try to use Christianity to justify their intolerant points of views. For me America represents all that is wrong with capitalism, liberalism and democracy. Everything is about greed and power. Almost none of it is about what is best for the country and the people. Those in power want to grab their slice and everyone else below fights for the scraps. If we are to move forward towards a sustainable, democratic future as a species then America will not be the answer.I'm always surprised how recently the civil rights movement was.
