3rd TEST: South Africa v Lions

Fair comments all around again.
I took the slightly bias comments in context, as I imagine you have with mine :D .

I just don't agree that you can call the 5th highest try scorer in Bok history, Jacque Fourie, not Bok 1st team material.
Along with Brussows selection, fans all over SA have been calling for Fourie to take his rightful place at 13. This guy has a strike rate that will make wingers blush. He is pure class. He's better than Jacobs. I'm sure any of the Bok fans will agree there?
In fact I think they might neg rep me for posing such a stupid question :p

Apologies, I was led to believe Fourie isnt in the team due to the politics in the South African game??????????? Is that well wide of the mark????????

I know Fourie has a tremendous strike rate for the boks (plus his try in the corner was a serious score) but my judgement was based on the fact that he wasnt playing, simple as that!! ill just have to take your word for it!!!!!!!!!!!

Sheez who knows what really going on these days. Quotas technically don't exist any more, but when players like Januarie and Chilliboy are choosen you incline to think that way. And the fact that SARU admitted P Divvy was a racially based appointment points in that direction as well.
It's a total BS situation and I hate the ANC for making us so racially observant when a team is choosen. They regularly complain that the Boks are, and I quote, "lily white".
Don't get me started on that bunch, it's not surprising P Divvy reminders me of them :rahh:

Which penalty goal was the most exciting to watch in this match?

So true +1

Lol, Queensland.

And I wouldn't call Fourie and JdV the best players in their positions, either, form or not.

I can't take any of your comments seriously anymore. You're so bias against the Boks or negative in general its laughable.
During a game the only thing I ever read (btw how the heck do you guys post and watch a game?!) from you is; Spies who?!, Beast who?!; Jdv who?! or Lol, *insert anything that person is associated with* like above.

Fair enough, I won't comment on the 'Boks anymore.

Thanks Mr.DeVilliers for letting those british celebrate in a land where they have always dreamed even to play in.
They got owned by the emerging boks, almost lost against Western Province and Cheetahs without their international players.

Thanks god I didn't watch the game live because I was busy at work,I wasn't happy with the huge number of substitutions to honest I wasn't optimist, but after watching the game yesterday I was shocked from people who claimed that Lions played well?! Are you serious? boks played well from the start and dominated the game meanwhile they committed crucial mistakes in defence.

The first two tries were a result of weak defensive effort from some players cost the team funny tries.
IMO opinion Boks were able to snatch the game and repeat the scenario of the second test before monye try, just were unlucky, then the game was over and SA players became so indisciplined because of the provocations of the british lionesses (oh please don't speak about sportsmanship again with a team that contain some players like Philips)

In fact I loved the team attitude, Broussow and steyn have shown to world how to treat british rugby players, I'm a French , I know what I'm talking about... ( I'm talking about rugby players so please I don't want to be accused to be racist against people from these countries)

And after this game, I hope some people don't cry again to see Kankowsi (the backrow who can't tackle or ruck I think Vermuelen or even Alberts are better so far, really shame on some people who dare to compare him to Spies). I won't blame Kirchner because it was his first cap he must take his chance again.

In other words, the score doesn't reflect the real difference between the boks and the lionesses but well this is rugby.
I think I'm not supposed to congratulate british folks, because they should do. enjoy the pic

Roll on 2021 gentlemen

Yup the French are really a shining example of how to treat and beat British teams. What was the score the last time ye lot played England?

I'm back from 3 months out. what've i missed, argument wise?

Hmmmmm a few mediocre ones. Boks robbed the Lions of the test series, Boks coach is a mad man, Boks are generally disliked as a result of Burgers assault on Fitzgerald, Boks fans are assholes, The Lions lost the series as opposed to the Boks doing anything to actually win it (that was a fun one), NH > SH > NH, Shane Williams is finished, O'Connell is a bad captain, The British Media are assholes, Lions fans are assholes, Lions fans are generally disliked by Boks fans (and SH fans, and French fans), Wasps shouldnt have four players on the tour, never mind the test side, The Lions are bad losers, The Boks are bad winners, Shane Williams is back, No he's not. Joe f***in Worsley is on tour. Spies who? Beast Who? Williams Who? (Insert player name) Who?

Eh ............. well thats just an overview of course and in the end we all decided to get along. If it makes any difference the Boks started it (honest they did) but it was all going grand until the French (yes the entire nation) got involved.

Its not really a wind up if you do it all the time. A true WUM must be able to offer some kind of balance, even temporarily side with the opposition before WHAM .... coming in with cheap, underhanded sideswipe that causes is all to blow up.

I think we've all realised that his bait tastes like marmite by now. He seems to be sucking up to the Southern Hemisphere though...

Offtopic.
Now comparethemeerkat/comparethemarket add just on tv and it was quality....then iggy pop went and creeped me out a bit in the next add. Guy needs to get a t-shirt.

Ontopic Again.
But yeah....back to the rugby.

Who were you The Bokke impressed with (in rugby terms...I don't care who was whinging or acting the eegit) during the tour and who do you think is an overrated from the Lions? Feel free to include those who were injured before the tests.

Back off topic again......... cause talking about the rugby is getting boring.

Think of it this way, people spend more time talking about him as opposed to reponsing to anything he actually has to say. He's opnly registered so it takes a while for people to realise. He's a troll not a WUM. Big difference.

Mite is a good WUM. His rep is high yet I'd bet pretty much every member on the forum remembers going head to head with him over something completely pointless.

Oh come on bud I had a gripe with the management & a couple of the players(Geech aside) and the arrogance they displayed in not admitting defeat. I cetainly did not expect them to be bowing down or grovelling at the Boks feet! Just a simple well done. There were some that were gracious in defeat such as Graham Rowntree, Shaw and Croft who did congratulate the Boks. A special mention goes out to Vickery what a gentlemen and good sport.

To be honest I found the British media as the main instigators in this whole mess. Hell even Rugby Planet who always came across as as a pretty balanced site got in on the act.

The 3 players who really impressed me from the Lions were Robertson, O'Driscoll and IMO the most impressive being KEARNEY. To be honest not many others impressed me as there were to many changes over the series. However the style and enterprising rugby the Lions tried to play as awhole was the most impressive aspect of their tour IMO. The unfortunate down side to this style of rugby is it normally loses in competitions. If you look at most rugby tournaments it is the best defensive side that normally wins.

In saying that the only Boks who impressed me during the series were BRUSSOW, Matfield, Botha and Du Preez. The Boks are on a slippery slope I am afraid as it is clear to see that their rugby deteriotated over the series and definatley does not bode well for the Tri-Nations.

The games however had my ass biting a hole in the seat from beginining to end and resulted in a few very drunk nights so in my eyes a very good series in all.

RWAR! *Nasty spiteful comments* RWAR!

Anyhew, I'm not a 606 WUM. I'm simply highly opinionated and particularly stubborn in my opinions. I also happen to be in the top 5 of all the worlds **** takers. All the TRF members who've met me in the real world know I'm no different in real life, it's just easier to tell my sarcasm.

Now... *random O'Gara/Irish-GS/NZ-Choke/Saracens/SA Thuggery cheep shot here*

Karthago however, he is a propper wind-up merchent.

Just realised, don't think I have :p I've had one with Prestwick when I first joined because he called me a chav  fun times

But yeah Chabal/Karthago is a proper WUM
mostly because he spouts a pile of un-warrented crap, like calling them Little Lionesses. :p Ironic thing is, messing with a real Lioness would get your head bitten off probably (PdV take note next time you're in the Bushvelt...)
