[2025 Six Nations] Ireland vs France - 8/3/25

French players not knowing Duponts law

**** we've been monstored this half.

Worried about the attack, Goodman flatters to deceive again and we couldn't get a foothold.

Felt good at HT lol

A few people have made reference to Irelands squad just getting over the hill, and the newer players coming in not being the same quality...

I think Pendergast had a difficult day, but he isn't quite ready, Osborne has been a real weakness. I also think JGP had a poor day.

Pack was essentially beaten up physically...

For me this performance looks like a team missing their coach. Decent first half, but no answers after the break.

Edwards will be livid I would think, even if not consequential, I can't imagine him being happy conceding so easily towards the end having been so resolute for 75 minutes.

Sort of sums up Ireland's Six Nations, I think it's been wasted as we have learned little about the next couple of years. The players retiring next week should already have been moved on with a focus on 2027.

Ireland well beaten today, the French really used their power and relied on a bit of chaos which saw them through. Huge intensity at times, Ireland dropped off. When's the last time Ireland lost at the Aviva? Must be some time ago? Two Irish trys were right after clear and obvious French penalties in the game and I think the French actually played quite poorly in terms of organisation at times it was a crazy game.

Will make the last weekend interesting!

Its one of those things though isn't it, if you going to praise a scrum half for looking great when your packs ontop you have to criticise when he plays badly when they are not, France defence was fairly suffocating and played with an intensity rarely seen, the Irish pack struggling for parity throughout, it's always going to be hard for a player like JGP to excel with slow ball, especially when hes used to having it mostly his own way.

In November versus the All Blacks where they were physically dominated.

Didn't they lose there recently to the ABs, it was a long while before that though.

Top 4 is very clear right now:
SA
NZ
France
Argentina

If it wasn't for spineless referring, the Pumas would have beaten the Irish in November.
