[2025 Six Nations] Ireland vs France - 8/3/25

Its one of those things though isn't it, if you going to praise a scrum half for looking great when your packs ontop you have to criticise when he plays badly when they are not, France defence was fairly suffocating and played with an intensity rarely seen, the Irish pack struggling for parity throughout, it's always going to be hard for a player like JGP to excel with slow ball, especially when hes used to having it mostly his own way.
Your right, but he really folded under some of that pressure.

If we look at the fight between him and Tomos for lions 9, Tomos is behind a beaten pack week after week and is Wales best player trying things.

What I will say, is that JGP delivery and athleticism is incredible, he was such a journeyman until the age of 30, and then just exploded...

Not sure about the over the hill chat when Prendergast, Osborne, Nash and McCarthy were our worst players.

Young lads taught a lesson, one they should come back from.
I think that's the point, the players coming through aren't the same quality and look a bit more limited than those outgoing...

Are Ireland going to learn from Welsh mistakes?

Scoreline flattered Ireland. French pack completely dominated the Irish pack. Prendergast struggling without a good platform. Stick him in the Welsh side and definitely wouldn't be getting the praise he has been.

Atmosphere was great first half...

The knives out for Prendergast, when he wasn't the biggest issue, will be disgraceful now.

A meeting between the French team and South Africa would be very interesting but I think that France is currently slightly above. After having beaten the All Blacks three times in a row, I think we can say that we have the best team in the world.

That makes England the #1 team of all time

No he wasn't. Ireland pack lost the collisions. That's not on your fly half. Remember something similar when England lost to NZ in the autumn. Everyone was blaming Ford coming on and not the 2 scrum penalties the pack

Ah yeah you won the world cup and are on for the Grand Slam 🙄

I mean, POM, Murray and Healy are outgoing, so no.

Felt like Nash and Osborne were worth 14 points in France's favour, they're second choice and in for lads who'll be around a year or two yet (Lowe, Hansen longer).

Feel like Jimmy O'Brien is worth a return, shown more than either winger today in green.

I agree with this, I don't think Nash or Osborne are anything more than squad filler.
